RPN Jan '12 - Mohawk

Published

Just wondering if anyone has received their acceptance offers for the RPN Jan '12 start. I am going crazy checking the mocomotion website multiple times a day! I spoke with admissions and she was hoping to have them up by last Friday

LOL! Yes, sorry- I started to reply, and then I looked closely at my email again and found that it did say the same as yours did! :)

Was it BC that emailed you? I wonder if she's speaking to me again yet... :D

Yes it was BC... I was just worried because I had taken an extra high school course via correspondance only to upgrade my mark not as part of my pre-requisites (which I have and submitted a long time ago) But I stopped working on the course when I saw that I was accepted into Sheridan.

@amahug- glad it's worked out! we are official! :)

@takeabreath- would you consider telling us what your class schedule is like right now? Just wondering what I have to look forward to in Jan! Also- what supplies did you need? Things like scrubs/shoes... I am basically an information junkie right now...pretty much obsessing. I told a friend once that I have CDO... it's like OCD, except the letters are in alphabetical order like they should be. :D

@starfish...well your organization skills will prove very useful in Jan! I believe the timetable opens for registration in Nov. - not sure if that is just for current or new students; so you will get a chance to pick your schedule and there is some flexibility. Currently, I have computers in nursing, health sciences, health and healing, professional development, lab, and clinical. You need to purchase 1 binder for each course (your timetable may look different - you may have some exemptions or more classes; i.e. I am exempt from communications) The scrubs we need for our program are ciel blue and all white non-slip shoes. As mentioned previously - look into starting your clinical clearances now...this does take a while. Your book list will be extensive; so you may wish to visit the bookstore @mac (Titles) to see the book list for sem 1 and get an idea of cost and #. They don't recommend buying books until you begin (but a good hint is the Canadian Fundamentals of Nursing by Potter and Perry) is ESSENTIAL and something to leaf through to familiarize self with before class actually starts. Any other specific questions, you can feel free to pm me...I think I can respond to them now! :)
