Roseman University ABSN July 2018

Published

Hey guys! I will applying for the ABSN program for July 2018. I have to retake the TEAS by December and I know they will be starting interviews in either January or February 2018! Super soon. Has anyone else started applying? I want to go to the Las Vegas campus.

hhuynh14 - I have not heard back from them yet. The campus is closed until January 2, 2018. I would think that it would be at least after the holidays before anyone would be contacted, but I could be wrong.

I really think that Roseman does not factor in the TEAS scores as much as compared to the rest of your application. Yes, it is mostly divided up evenly by TEAS, cumulative GPA, and prerequisite GPA, but what really matters is the GPA. My TEAS score wasn't great, but I had a good GPA and I already took most of my prerequsites except one. What ultimately matters is WHEN you go for your interview because it's a rollling admissions process which means that the people who didn't get accepted into the Feb. '18 cohort will be granted acceptance to the July cohort because the Feb. cohort is already full. I think the people who applied for the Feb. cohort only had one round of interviews and that was it. I'm only speaking for the Henderson campus.

I got my interview invitation last week! Who else got their invitation? Does anybody have an idea of what the interview is like?

a.n.h That is a great GPA! I'm sure you will be invited for an interview. When I spoke with admissions, she said they give you points based on your TEAS and GPA to see who will get accepted for an interview. I think you're right about them not offering more interviews until January 2nd. I submitted my transcripts on the last day they were open and they said I would hear back then. They also said there was only a few spots left for the January interviews. Hopefully we hear good news on the 2nd! I hope you guys have a Merry Christmas!

Nursingk8 - Thanks :) I hope so! I love the format of "block" classes at Roseman. It makes sense to focus all of your energy into one topic than spread it over 5-6 classes at a time. I feel like this program will make us great nurses! My adviser told me that prospects cannot go to the first interview date if they have classes to complete and I have one left, so does anyone know the date for February at the South Jordan campus?

Roseman Henderson grad here--The admissions counselors are wonderful and helpful, so once you have all your requirements in, you should get an interview invitation pretty quickly! Let me know if you have any other questions about the program or the application process :)

I got an invitation to the interview yesterday! Anyone else going to be there on the 18th? I am so excited!

Hi @mac_2828 Please tell me your review of the program. Is it worth the money? How many times were you on campus? Did the online component make the program easier in your opinion? How many people flunked out in your cohort? Did you or anyone have to retake a course? Was the program overall too hard in your opinion? Did they work with you when it came to getting loans? Please give me the pros and cons. I'm about to retake my TEAS for the 3rd time and hope I can bring up my science score. I got an overall 64% the first two times I took it but now I think I got the hang of it and now I know exactly what to study for the science section so I feel slightly more confident.

Does anyone know when the Feb interview will be and where? I submitted all the requirements already but for some reason, my transcript from one of my colleges is taking forever to get into nursingCAS....

On another note... my GPA is 3.1 for the prerequisites and 3.0 overall. i got a 70 and then a 74(taken DEC 19) on my second try for the TEAS. If i were to retake it now... would i still be able to make the FEB interviews? Im just really nervous about all this stuff...

I think the interview is on the 18th. You have to retake the TEAS by January 31st in order to make the February interview. I'm retaking the TEAS next Saturday, I got a 64% on both tries so now this is my last try. I think I'll do better because I remember what to study for the science section. What did you use to study?

so to be honest i didnt study as much as i should have. i also went cheap and just looked for free reviews. this time though i downloaded the pocketprep app and just got got the 14 dollar thing. so far its looking good because i can set it up where i dont get any math questions. i wont be getting the $200 teas manual thing because... well im broke lol

Lol well yeah I have the Mometrix practice book and it helped a little. The Pocket Prep definitely helps more. But one thing I noticed is that the questions are the exact same on the TEAS so I just remembered what to focus on after taking it the second time so let's hope I do much better this time.
