Rosalind Franklin University CRNA 2024

Updated:   Published

Hey everyone! I will be applying soon to Rosalind Franklin University's CRNA program starting May 2024.

I know applications in NursingCAS will open on August 10, 2023 and will close on December 15, 2023. I've heard that it is very competitive with rolling admissions so apply early! Interview invites have gone out in September in the past with virtual interviews taking place between October and February. Admission spots were offered last year as early as October.

If you have anything to share throughout this application process, please post here!

Good luck to everyone!!

Oh great! I hope I get to interview with you guys!

Specializes in MICU, PICU, TICU, Vascular Access.

I was just placed on hold for the 2nd time. I am not sure how to process this as I submitted a pretty amazing application this year. I might try again next year if I can figure out any way to make my application any better. Good luck to you all.

I am sorry to hear that! Can you share how you improved your application from last year to this year? The hold status is so frustrating, I can only imagine the frustration you're feeling dealing with it for a second time.

I kept in touch with -------------------- and ----------------------- and did everything they asked. There was little emphasis placed on biostatistics since I have a biochem degree already with grad work.
Since last year:

- charge nurse at two facilities

-PICU experience

- trauma ICU at cook county

- preceptor in trauma ICU

- trauma ICU leadership activities

- vascular access board certification

- multiple committees

- volunteer experience

- wrote substantially more detailed essays and professional resume.

Yeah this is pretty rough. I've exceeded every metric. I have 4 years of stellar experience and this is my dream.

Has anyone who has completed the Kira Assessment heard anything back?

Not yet on my end!

I wasn't able to get any feedback about why I was not invited for an interview after doing everything that they requested. I was told that they cannot give details while my application is in process.
I'm going to withdraw since I already know the fate of an "on hold" application. I'd rather withdraw so that I can get some feedback right now about what else I can do to improve for next year. Still plenty of time to improve!

Best of luck to everyone that got interviews. Hope you all do well!

I'm very sorry to hear that! Have you considered applying to other programs? Also CRNA School prep academy is very helpful, I'm a member and I highly recommend it!

I got on the wait list at Rush. I can't go out of state since I have a family. But I'm really hoping a spot opens for me at Rush!

I might look more into CRNA prep academy. I'm also going to take a couple grad classes at Rush that will count towards their program. I'll probably focus on them at this point since I already interviewed there. If I don't get in this time, taking some grad courses should help for next year.

Oh I completely understand! Although you're focusing on Rush please let me know how it goes for you! I wish you the best of luck and hopefully will soon see you in the OR!

Thanks! I'll let you all know if I get good news from Rush! I've heard they admit a lot of people from the wait list, so I'm trying to stay positive about this year.
Go kick some metaphorical butt at your interview!

So is the "hold status" kind of like I like your application but not good enough ?
