I had that happen last year. I honestly took it as a soft denial because that's what ended up happening. I was never moved off of the hold and eventually was sent a denial letter in February after they had finished interviews and filled the cohort.

Were you able to work during the program? Are the classes extremely difficult? Are the onsite requirements all at the Case Western campus or are we required to travel elsewhere? Also curious how the interview went! I applied as well. Not going to lie, I do feel a bit uneasy about the program since there doesn't seem to be much information & it isn't accredited yet. They also waived my application fee due to my "impressive work and academic history" which I feel like might be a red flag? This whole program honestly seems too good to be true, but we will see I guess!

I am sorry to hear that! Can you share how you improved your application from last year to this year? The hold status is so frustrating, I can only imagine the frustration you're feeling dealing with it for a second time.

did you get feedback from admissions after they sent your rejection letter? I emailed asking for clarification on the hold status and an estimate about when I would hear back and was told they're unable to discuss my application with me since the application window is still open and there isn't a definitive timeframe for a response. Pretty discouraging, but I will be applying elsewhere in the meantime.

That's what I thought, highly unlikely to be accepted if placed on hold pre-interview. Thanks for your response! I would be curious to know if anyone has been in this same situation and ended up getting accepted.

I'm applying for CRNA 2024 at RFU, so just wanting some insight from previous applicants/students. I applied the day the application opened and was verified and confirmed with RFU rather quickly. I just received an email today that my application has been placed on hold. I did not receive an interview invitation. On the RFU website there is a FAQ about hold status but it pertains to post interview hold status and not pre interview. Anyone ever heard of an applicant being placed on hold pre-interview? I'm considering this a soft denial but just wanting some insight from previous applicants. Thank you!

Got an email from RFU today stating that my application has been placed on hold. Not sure what this means, but I'm taking it as a soft denial since I applied the day the application opened, interviews haven't started yet. Giving my timeline in case it's of any help to anyone. Submitted my application the day it opened, 8/10. NursingCAS verified my application on 8/13. Received an email from RFU 8/14 stating they had received my application. Not sure how long to expect to wait to hear about an interview, but if others could post their timeline as well, it might be helpful! My stats for anyone curious: 10 years ICU experience, MSN, CCRN. 3.0gpa in undergraduate, 3.9gpa in my MSN program. Second time applicant, I first applied in 2018 and since then have earned my MSN and CCRN.

I can't find the application on the portal. Does it become available once the application window opens or you're just able to submit during that time? First timer here and just want to make sure I'm not missing anything! Also can anyone shed light on their extracurriculars and volunteer experience for their application? Just wanting some feedback. I graduated with my BSN in 2013 with a 2.9 GPA. Fast forward 10 years, I'm 6 months away from graduating with my MSN with a 3.9 GPA. I have 9 years of ICU experience, currently employed at a Level 1 trauma center in their intensive care float pool, cross trained across 6 different intensive care units. Dragging my feet on getting my CCRN (I am salty because I took it 5 years ago and missed it by 1 point). I do plan to get my CCRN prior to applying to CRNA. Just wanting honest feedback on my chances of getting in with my undergrad and graduate grades. Waste of time? Worth a shot? What else can I do to strengthen my application?
