Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum, but not so new to nursing. I have been an LVN for 24 years. This past year has been a whirlwind of change, and I am excited to say that after YEARS of trying to go back and complete my degree, my time has finally come! I am currently working on my last semester of pre-reqs and just applied to the LVN to RN Bridge program for Spring! I am PRAYING that I make this bridge! Looking forward to moving in and getting my MSN for Family Nurse Practitioner. Feel a bit silly doing all of this at my age, but hey who says there is an age limit on when you stop learning and growing professionally? Hope I can offer encouragement to all of you who are hard at it, because come January I am going to need some too!

See you on the boards!

I started through Excelsior, but then decided to go traditional and am currently enrolled at MCC here in Waco, Texas. I was just not disciplined enough for a self study schedule, and needed the structure of a schedule. I am taking 5 classes this semester, and working full time too. Sheesh....I must be crazy! I an set to enter the 3rd semester of RN Classes in January if I am accepted. I'm excited for the futur4e for the first time in a long time!

Best of luck to you in Excelsior...You will do well, keep your eyes on the goal and forge ahead to your dream. It's not too late until they bury you!

Congrats to all the LPNS/LVNS. But I am not finished yet. I have taken the lpn test three times and failed. This is is my last year to take the test, and I am so confused. My results state the same thing, near in everything and below in math. I have taken a review, and I am just simpy don't know what to do. I feel as though I failed everyone, my kids, and my husband. Any suggestions!!!!!
