Published

I havent found any threads on the Spring 2012 Nursing program, soo i figured id start one! I have already recieved an Email saying everything has been recieved, just waiting on my letter to see if I was accepted! Does anyone know when theyll be sent out? Has anyone recieved that email yet? :redpinkhe

Hi Simmola: As soon as Winter Break begins I am ready!!! LOL I have to make an A on that calculations test...

Also Simmola, The uniform scrub shirts are white and the bottoms are port wine (which is like a burgandy color... Why they just don't say burgandy is beyond me LOL)... Oh I forgot to mention to everyone that I bought a pair of Landau 4 weeks ago and walked around at the park (why I thought to wear them to the park was to test the comfort of them) and boy were they comfortable... If you go to that website allheart.com they have them on sale for 24.99 I think and they come in White and Black but of course we need white for this class (I already have the black pair)... Just a thought because you guys know our feet are gonna be screaming after the first 10 hours clinicals.... LOL And no I do not get paid for these advertisements!!! LOL I wish, then I won't have to worry about switching my school schedule LOL...:D

Ok last comment unless someone has a question. If you have turned in your acceptance letter (including alternates), you can see in your profile in web advisor that they have updated it indicated that you are in the nursing program (instead of it saying applicant). A.D.N. Basic... This means we are official YAAAAYYYY!!!! :coollook:( Am I the only one who noticed that )

NO girl I noticed that too!!! Super excited! I'm glad we do not have to wear white bottoms...I don't know how I would be able to do it! Did you already go to Ybor?

Hi Simmola: yes I went to Ybor Monday... Parking is terrible... If I were u I would have someone take you so they can just keep circling around until u are finished... It took me 5 min there...

DANG!!!! That sux! I am going to go today...

Ok. I just saw (while at my lunch hour) nursing students from HCC wearing white bottoms and wine tops..????? I'm confused. We are better off waiting until orientation day. Can't wait to meet everyone. I also noticed my profile on web advisor has the nursing program loaded.

Hi Bital... I just met my friend for lunch and she had port wine bottoms and white shirt....maybe it depends on what campus... Or we may be able to switch around... Who knows... Just gotta wait to see...

Also, I know a place we can go for the CPR course that is $30 for the nursing program...(AHA approved) if u are interested let me know... Or if u have questions

Hello everyone, I am a NP1 student currently and can help clear up some of the confusion for you. Up until this fall semester the uniforms were the white bottoms and port wine tops. They changed it this fall to the other way around. The reason you are seeing two different uniforms is because they did not make all the NP2, 3 & 4 students buy all new uniforms. They had a choice of either keeping what they had used in previous semesters or getting the new ones. So you will have the port wine bottoms and white tops.

Also concerning the books, the package that you will be pitched at the orientation will have pretty much all your books that you will be needing for all 4 semesters. There are some other books you will need, but not that many more. I think I spent about 600 on the package and have bought 3 or 400 more on supplemental books that we either need or I just find more helpful than the ones we must buy. I suggest getting a pharmacology book for nurses to use for all your drug assignments. There is a great website called abebooks.com where you can get older books for very cheap

Thanks for the clarification... My friend is also a NP1! She never told me the reason so thank u for clearing that up for us... Any other info we need to know?:D

Ahhhh...OK that's good to know....Thanks. Maybe I will start some shopping this weekend.
