Hi Simmola: I also have the same campus assignment, and I so didn't want that schedule... So I emailed the healthsciences dept and Ms ****** states that I would have to request a different assignment at orientation if it is available and she states that she forwarding my info over to the dean. I needed nights and weekends Dale Mabry... I spoke to my job already and they are not willing to work with my schedule, so I am praying that they switch my schedule at orientation.... Hope that helps....

KIKB, I hope that we get the assignment that we need. I work in the days and THERE IS NOOOOOO WAY to switch my schedule. IMPOSSIBLE!!! I would love to go to D Mabry, but my biggest concern is the time. Do you know the name of Ms. _______? I would love to call her and see if I can get my information forwarded. Who do you guys talk to when you call? I swear it is some made up department because I can never speak to a real person who knows or can answer my questions. On another note, I am SUPER excited!!! Can't wait to meet everyone!

Hi Simmola, I spoke with Ms. Flores.. I don't know why my last post blocked it out... I am not scared to give names LOL... They have been super nice to me in that dept. I email, I don't call... So that could be something you might want to do.. Send an email to healthsciences.hccfl.edu ( not sure if that is exactly right) But if you look on your acceptance letter it should be on there... I emailed them while I was at work so I will make sure if this is not the right email address to email you in the morning with the correct one... I'm really hope we get the assignment that we need because I would have to quite my job to go to school and I like extra money so it wouldn't be good LOL and Plus I a have the best job ever... (they just won't work with my schedule) and I don't want to leave on bad terms because it would be easy for me to transition there as a RN.... So we will see .....Prayers!!! Hope this helps...

Sorry guys I was busy doing my homework and didn't get a chance to email the ISBN...Ok so for the Clinical Calculations book the ISBN 978-1-4160-4740-7... This is the only one you really need right now (per my friend that is a NP1) because the books will be very expensive if you start buying them individually... She also states that they will have the books on sale in orientation (just in case you want to go ahead and buy them) Also, she states that if you start doing this book over the winter break you will be set for the first test that will be the first 3 wks... So I will be studying all this winter... If you guys want to form a study group please let me know!!! TEAM WORK!!! Let's be the first class ever to make a 100 on the first test LOL (in my dreams right) LOL One more thing before I go to zzzzz, The drug screen is done at orientation..(supposed to be a surprise) Well SURPRISE!!! LOL I get silly when I'm sleepy!! Good night

I also got in! But they stuck me at Plant City during the day...and I NEED the night schedule! I'm just scared I might loose my job if I stick with the day program

Hello again everyone... The uniforms will be White Tops and Port Wine Bottoms. Uniform City is the recommended place to get the uniforms because of the "Port Wine" color is generally at Uniform City; however, you can go to other places, but by doing so you are risking that the colors are off slightly. So I'm gonna go there and price some uniforms... Also, we get a student discount there... In regards to the Stethoscope, Watch, and Pen Light the previous website that I listed have some very unique things if you want to personalize it!!! Or, Uniform city and HCC have the Pen lights available... We will know about all of this in orientation but I just thought I would give you guys a heads up!!! More info to come!! LOL

KikB: I thought that the uniforms were white bottoms and port wine tops. Did they change? I have seen them at HCC with these combination. I love they way you are on top of everything, I'm glad am not the only one.

Does anyone knows is the packaged texbooks are for the entire program? I was looking at them online, from HCC bookstore, and the price is around $ 1,100.00. I hope those are for the entire program!

What about scholarships? Has anyone check in to that?

Hi Bital: My friend is in the Fall 2011 class and their uniform is Port wine bottoms and White tops. I'm not sure if it will change for us but I will find out LOL. :uhoh21: Also, from my understanding the books will be broken up in semesters. I will double check with my friend though... Also, the deadline to apply for scholarships was 10/15 with HCC I think? So, there is another website that you may be able to see if scholarships are available and that is http://www.finaid.org/scholarships/... Hope this helps...

Hi Bital: No problem... I stay logged in to this site.... (which is kinda sad Lol) but I've learned so much!!! I'm glad to help anyone that needs help... Thanks KIKB! I spoke to my advisor today and she told me that I had to go to orientation and see what they could do then...I am SOOOO nervous because I am in the same boat as you! I work days and CANNOT afford to not work! I am praying that He sees it through.
