Roll Call Hillsborough community college Spring 2012 Nursing

Published

I havent found any threads on the Spring 2012 Nursing program, soo i figured id start one! I have already recieved an Email saying everything has been recieved, just waiting on my letter to see if I was accepted! Does anyone know when theyll be sent out? Has anyone recieved that email yet? :redpinkhe

Hi hug13trees I am also at Plant City and wanted Dale Mabry evenings and weekends but hopefully at orientation someone ask for my spot and I will gladly switch... Even if I can get Dale Mabry morning I would be so excited... Fingers crossed... Congrats to u as well...

Congrats to all of the alternates that got in! So excited for you! My campus assignment, was luckily what I wanted, DM afternoons. Now on to the background check. Does anyone's letter state the phone number for the Ybor Security Office? I lost my original letter with the background check form attached so now I have to call and make sure I can still come in and do that without the form, hopefully they have one there that I can fill out :-/ I know my letter is SOMEWHERE. Just not sure where, have a garage full of boxes from moving to go through. Also, anyone who has already done it, did they tell you how long it takes to clear?

Hi RnNtraining, I will be going in today to have mine done (hopefully).... I will ask them the timeframe and if u would need the paper to have it done and I will let you know... Congrats to u as well!

RnNtraining: I just got back and was told they have forms that u can fill out there and it takes 24 hours!!! And yes parking is a BEAST!!!! Hope that helps...

For those of you who wish to change your hours/location, you should e-mail the nursing program director and let her know. I believe she can swap but it is a first come first serve.

Thanks so much KiKB. That alleviates a lot of concern! I'm going to have my hubs take me and drop me off so that I don't have to find parking. Ybor is a nice campus, but yes..parking is awful!

I got innnn..... I received my letter on Saturday. Congrats to all future nurses.:dancgrp:

YAY!!!!!!! I got in...PRAISE HIM!!!! One small thing, I so DID NOT get the time that I needed!! I got Plant City DAY!!!!! HELP!!!!!! Who do I email!

Hi Simmola: I also have the same campus assignment, and I so didn't want that schedule... So I emailed the healthsciences dept and Ms ****** states that I would have to request a different assignment at orientation if it is available and she states that she forwarding my info over to the dean. I needed nights and weekends Dale Mabry... I spoke to my job already and they are not willing to work with my schedule, so I am praying that they switch my schedule at orientation.... Hope that helps....

Congrats to all of us....Hopefully those who didn't get the schedule they wanted can change the day of orientation. Has anyone bought any uniforms for the clinicals? or started to read as the previous thread did? Can't wait to orientation and we all can meet.

hi bital... yes, i think i have read every comment there is on these threads in anticipation of class starting. lol i have not bought any uniforms yet but i have a couple of websites that were posted by the 2010 thread....

http://www.allheart.com/ promo code coupon code: nsnatn9

$10 off $ 25 purchase

www.cherokee4less.com and have 20% off and free shipping when purschase $ 25 or more..promo codes: wagon...

i went on the websites two days ago and believe it or not they still are having these sales lol... wowzer!!!

also, i have read that it would be great (if you are taking classes this semester wait til the winter break) to start reading the clinical calculations and potter/perry books... i went on amazon and cheap books and they have them starting at $5.50. so i am going to order mine today and since i am taking classes this fall i am going to start reading them during the winter break to get a head start... i heard it is pretty easy if you do it this way!!! i want to help as much as i can because we are all in this together... i will post the past isbn used in the last class and i heard there are slight differences (depending on the editions), but to get a heads start on something is better than nothing!!!

let me know if you need anything... gotta run to work... i stay logged in to this site so if you ever have any questions and i know it i will let you know or try to get the answer for you!!! team work!!!

Thanks... I also bought a couple of books that the past threads suggested. When I get home I will post their nameand IBS # too. Thanks again for everything.
