@AFitz1981 I received an email stating that I will receive all the information I need for NUR 116 & NUR 118 the first week of the semester. The Summer is going to be used to work on syllabi and review the required textbooks. As for the Nursing Program Policies and the Nursing Student Handbook, this will also be available the first week of the semester. There was no information that the nursing dept could share with me at that time.

oh wow! good to know thanks. I was hoping to use the Summer to get a head start on some reading ? thanks for sharing!

@graceful_wren ever hear back on NUR 118? I received all info for 116 but no email, no syllabus etc posted for 118 yet. just wanted to check if I was the only one before I started emailing

Yes I emailed my professor for NUR 118 and she said I’ll get my blackboard and syllabus access next week. No worries, you’re not the only one who was wondering as I was too!

Good luck with nursing school to those who will begin this Fall !! Was any accepted with a a score of 70 on the TEAS by the way ?

Hi please check previous posts. There was one that previously mentioned that they were accepted with a 70. I also would recommend you score higher than a 70 just to be safe.

Guys just as a heads up, all the syllabi and course exam dates should be available through blackboard. If you can't find your clinical syllabus in NUR118 I think that the lecture syllabus in Nursing Fundamentals II (lecture) should explain things more clearly. I'm currently reading through the syllabi to see if I have any questions to ask my professor. Check your emails too and email your professors to ask them any questions you may have (sooner rather than later). I would make sure to write in the subject heading of the email to your professor your: Name, RCC student ID number, CRN number, and course type (e.g. NUR-116: Nursing Fundamentals I). Good luck to everyone who is currently in the program for the first semester. I look forward to working with you all in this nursing career journey! ❤️

Unfortunately this is literally one of the most unprofessional institutions I have ever attended. General Classes are very friendly, and seem like a positive learning environment. Nursing Program, is scattered, and has no support system. Most students fail Nur252 their first try so when you walk in more than 1/2 the class are repeat students. Once the classes begin, you understand why. What they teach in class, and what they tell you to focus on in class will never be on the exam. The program sells students on creating a program from LPNs to RN in hopes to have more applicants. You arrive, and as soon as that tuition is paid for, they have no interest in you and will tell you that you need to quit your full time job to be a student there. Exams for evening students will be at a time that benefits Day Time students. Be mindful that if your class is scheduled for 5 pm or 6 pm, exam day your test can be scheduled for any time slot from 12pm until 3pm. They are not interested in you having a job, they will never cater to the evening students. Rotations are a complete joke and have absolutely nothing to do with the curriculum you are learning in class. I highly suggest applying to a private program, because the SUNY Nursing programs aren't going to offer you what you need to pass.
