Any recommendations for a good online course to get your BSN? I've just started looking & would really like to do this from home if at all possible. Would really appreciate any input you can give!! Thx!!

Hi. I'm currently attending Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences and give it a recommendation.http://onlinenursing.fhchs.edu/
We've had a lengthy discussion here. https://allnurses.com/forums/f125/rn-bsn-online-105380.html
Thank you so much!! That is exactly what I was looking for! I will definitely check some of these out!
You're welcome. Good luck. If you have any questions post them on that thread or PM me if you have specific questions about FHCHS.

Have you considered an RN to MSN degree program? I am aware of 3 colleges offering online RN-MSN degrees. These are Excelsior (www.excelsior.edu), University of Phoenix (www.phoenix.edu), and the University of Southern Indiana (health.usi.edu). Good luck in your search

I'm starting at the University of Phoenix on Sept 12TH! I chose it since it is completely on-line, the classes are five weeks long and you can take breaks between classes if you need it. I think I am insane since I have a 2 1/2 month old baby girl and my husband is getting ready to leave for a year!!! (military remote tour) :uhoh21:

I don't think your insane at all! I admire your motivation & dedication to a higher career path. Plus, this will keep your mind occupied while your husband is OCONUS. BTW, thank you for your support... military wives are #1 in my book! You do have local family/friend support regards to child care, I hope?
Are you doing the online RN-MSN University of Phoenix program? If so, keep us posted. I may want to check it out in the future.
Good for you. I received my BSN from them. It was an outstanding program. I wish you well.

Thanks! No, I am doing the RN-BSN program because I have a little over one years experience. You need at least three to do the RN-MSN.
Yes, I do have a wonderful support system and wonderful childcare. I am thankful for it.

My RN-BSN online program with UTMB, Galveston, School of Nursing, was pretty tough. Partly D/T we had on-site campus functions 2-4 x's a semester. Plus, I lived about a 3.5 hr drive a way, and worked full-time.
Again, much success to you!

I have been researching these online programs and they are very costly, I am just wondering how people pay for these programs, I would love to complete this bsn online, however, Im not sure how I will pay for it....

You might want to look at the University of Wyoming. I saw someone post on the forum that it was very ecconomical. After lots of research, I've applied there for January. It was the most affordable online program I found.
