Hi Guys,
I was wondering LV RNs could you please let me know how the pay is there in LV? I'm considering relocating from CA, I heard St. Rose pays really well $36/hr no exp starting salary but i have not confirmed if it is true.
Also, how is living there in Vegas?
Thank you so much for all your help!

I've never heard anyone starting at $36/hour. It's more like $28, +/- $3. Just something to think about, but my wife made $78 an hour an LA before she moved here.
I know I was surprised too that's why I asked here thank you so much for the info! :)

hi kat, I happen to check our union manual pay grade scale. I'm in critical care unit, starting rate without experience is $34.45, while non critical starts with $30.07. Our max salary pay with 35 years plus experience is $51.66 while non critical $45.14. I happen to have a friend in St. rose working in critical care unit, I asked the starting rate without experience = $36, again this will differ if you're in critical or non critical area. I do believe St. rose pays well in Las Vegas. I used to to work in New york and Cali, Though the rate was higher than here, I actually saves more than what I earned before. Hope this helps

St. Rose pays the highest. In my experience, $32/hr, no experience, not including differentials. They only hire through their new grad program though. Otherwise, you have to have acute care experience.

Just an FYI from an old time nurse: I've been nursing 20 + years and I don't make that. I get to work from home, have every weekend and holiday off and work day time hours. I guess if I wanted to empty bed pans, insert Foleys, hang IV bags, etc all day and the other hands on work- I don't want to do anymore- I could make lots more money. After 20 years+ as a nurse, however it isn't so much about money but more about quality of life and respect at least for me. Enjoy your money. I hope it is worth it for you, and I hope you save it because it gets to be hard work after 40 years old being such a physical type job that it is. Good luck. Peace.
