RN Salaries/Clearwater FL

Hello all, I'm new to this board and sure this question has been asked at least 10 times in the last year. I recently moved to Clearwater FL area from Boston where I worked at Boston Medical Center as a Endoscopy RN, with 34 years under my belt I was making $56.30 an hour with full benefits. Here go's, What should I expect to receive for hourly compensation in the Clearwater/Tampa area? Thanks for any reply's, I'm sure this is asked all to often, Thanks Again WS

www.salary.com gives fairly accurate salary info from what I have seen. I have friends who moved to Florida from the Philadelphia who are not very happy with the payscale there.

Just for fun, I went to salary.com and looked up my salary as an experienced staff nurse in the Tampa area. It was pretty accurate.

You're going to be bitterly disappointed. Employers here cap salaries about about $30.00 for staff nurses with full benefits, not including differentials. Agency nurses might make $35 to $40.00 hour.
