Our family will relocate to Boston. My husband has health insurance, so I am interested in the RN pay rate without benefits. The housing expense is very high in Boston, so I have to make a little bit more money if possible.
Is there this kind of pay rate increase without benefits in hospitals around Boston? I only have a half year experience as RN but has one year experience as nurse intern. I am in BSN program right now. Is it easy to locate a RN job in hospitals around Boston. How is the basic pay rate with and without benefits? Thank you so much if anybody knows in this forum .

Do you know where you are going to live, norrh or south of Boston? There are per diem pools, I just looked at the starting pay for nurse with your experience, which is about $28/hour plus differentials. You may do better in a per diem pool in a suburban hospital. ALex

How much experience do you have as well. Highest paying jobs are center of boston.
Thank you for your reply.
I would work anywhere around Boston (center, downtown, or suburb). I will communte. I worked as a RN for six months and 12 months as nurse intern in ICU. Is this experience okay to find a entry job in ICU or Med-surg. floor around Boston?
Thanks.
As a nurse intern, I am assuming you were a newly licensed RN. If that is the case you will be very employable. If nurse intern means you were a student, it will be more challenging. Boston Hospital do like a BSN, chances would improve in the community.

I am in the same boat. These are the links I found:
www.americanheart.org you have to do the skills check in your town
www.cprtoday.com all online
www.getcprnow.com didn't check this site yet
www.procpr.org another link I haven't checked yet
You can google online cpr and get all types of links, but you should check with your employer(s) to see what they require as far as who the certification must be through. Most places around here don't care about the name as long as it is a full course and the certification lasts two years.
