RN pay in the Bay Area, CA?

Published

Hi everyone! I am a new grad RN in the Bay Area. I was hoping someone could share the starting pay for new grad nurses in hospitals across the Bay Area (Kaiser, Sutter, Stanford, UCSF, El Camino Hospital, SCVMC, etc). I know that if the hospital I unionized then the pay will be posted online, but I’m having trouble finding them. Any insight would be very helpful!

that's what some of them do. The Bay area, San diego, & LA have very high rents but the bay is the worst.  No one desires to really fix the problem.

Oh no, the landlords fix the problem. That is, the problem of their bottom line. They raise the rent as fast and as often as legally possible.

Sounds good, until you see how much a parking spot costs for the month. There's just no winning. ?

Wow!! And here in FL we are making under $30 an hour with years of experience!!

Smh ?

You need to bear in mind the high cost of living in California, especially the bay area!

even with the cost of living adjustment, florida is still screwing nurses out of money.

Yes, but cost of living is triple there as well

Oh yes....cost of living is very different in FL vs CA. It all evens out one way or another in all honesty.

Depends on where you live in Ca. I live up North and cost of living is half less that of Bay Area...and I earn almost that amount stated above. What Bay Area workers do is they buy houses far from the Bay Area...problem is their commute is 2-3 hrs...
