Hi
hope someone can answer a few questions on CEU's. I have been a Rn for 18 years recently in the past 18 months moved to KS from east coast. I was on line adding up all my fees paid out for taxes and was reading about CEU's. In PA they were'nt required. So if I want to renew my licence I will need 30 hours? Is this a year or two years? My new Ks licence is good for 18 months so the date of issue is May 07 I have an Dec even year BD so it will expire Dec 08 do i still need 30 if its only for 18 months? I work with an agency so where do i get the CEU"S Kansas rules / laws life style is so very different With just getting a new licence it should have given me something with it that gave me info on this just moving here how am i to know and up to this point no
one has told me about anything and I've been working for 6 months
Any /All info would be a help
Thanks Lynda

Contact the KSBN to clarify your questions.... you don't want to come up a day late and a CEU short at at renewal time. Me,. I always get a little extra, just in case. You can do all your CE now with distance learning, such as a coursebook from Companies like WEstern schools or the like. Just save your certificates etc.
Oh and BTW, welcome to Kansas

It's pro -rated. Go directly to the BON for clarification and the exact amount. You don't want to depend on information here for you license stuff. Always go to the source and in this case it's the Board of Nursing.
