Hi there. I have a RN friend of mine who is interested in working as George Washington University Hospital. Any idea as to what the new graduate rate is and any other information? Thanks. I told her I know that the new graduate rate at the Washington Hospital Center is $27.673, and she is wondering if GWU's is the same, lower or higher.

I think GW is lower than that...

The new grad rate at GW is $25/hr, and I'm not sure about the shift differentials - they do have a $4000 yearly retention bonus, which is pretty awesome and good education benefits - 90% tuition at GW University.
At the moment, I'm trying to decide whether to take a job there or Holy Cross, so we'll see how that works out!

I started as a new grad at GW and thought their internship was fantastic. Older nurses were supportive and it was a great place to learn. Good luck!

Hi. I'm interested in working in Washington also. I'm from california but I kind of want to move.
Anyway, my question is is there another new grad program before the end of this year? Also, how many patients are assigned to you in a regular floor meaning not critical icu? like in california medsurg is usually 4 but they are permitted to have up to 5 i think.
I hear florida is like the worst because they give you like 7 patients. haha and maybe some other states i don't know about.
