Books I recommend for studying are the Mosby and Saunders Comprehensive NCLEX review books. They come with a CD that is great to use in preparation for the test. As far as when to take the exam, it is a personal decision. You first have to wait for your ATT. After I graduated I took a few weeks to just spend time with my family and didn't worry about the test. Then after Christmas I got serious about studying. I spent two hours a day six days a week reviewing questions. I also used Mosby's review questions in notecard form. Everyone has their own way of studying. Good luck in your last year of school and to a rewarding career in nursing.
I took the RN-NCLEX on Monday and just found out I passed!!!! I did it with 75 questions. I nearly gave my son a heart attack when I jumped up and yelled. My nerves are shot, but I am so happy to have it done.Good luck to all those others out there waiting to take the test.
congratulations
