Nursing Students General Students

I graduted from a college with a bachelors of science in biology. I am about to start a 2yr program for an associates in nursing. I am now being told i may be able to take a bridge program rn-msn....is this an accelerated program? And if you have taken this route how/is it? Also, any other ideas/options? I would like to avoid short and fast programs. I'm looking for any and all comments.

Thank you.

I have not taken that route (I'm doing BSN) and the much that I know is that the RN-MSN route is for the experienced licensed nurses who graduated from a 2 year program and are looking to further their education so that they may qualify for nursing positions that require either a BSN or MSN degree. The RN-MSN program usually is accelerated and integrates courses in place of general ed classes that would have been required of you to complete in order to earn a BSN as well as MSN courses.

I'm in first semester of nursing school and it's an Associates degree. I plan on doing the RN- MSN option too. There are tons of programs out there. Look up your state online and look under their approved nursing programs. It'll give you a list of every college that has masters in nursing options.
