hi. I'm an RN in illinois. I'm considering moving to atlanta by the end of this year. I'ld like to know how i can go about getting my nursing license in georgia. thanks in advance.

Contact the Georgia BON and find out what their requirements are for licensure by endorsement. At some point, you will be required to have your licensing information from IL forwarded to GA. This must be done directly from IDPR to the Georgia BON, and there will be a fee involved that you will pay to IDPR. IDPR is notoriously slow in processing these requests, so please allow plenty of time! Good luck!

Also, Georgia gives no temporary permits.

Do you know how long GA takes to transfer your RN license?

You do not transfer a license. You are applying for an additional license in the other state. Time depends on how long that it takes for the new state to receive the documentation that they require.

Do you know how to transfer my CA license to Maryland? Someone told me NY license is allowed to work in Maryland too, is it right? If so, do you think transfer my CA license to NY would be better? Thanks in advance!!

lpn license transfer endorsement from virginia to georgia

i am currently interested in becoming a lpn; just recently i began looking for vocational schools who offered this program during the day full time. my question is? upon completion of the program, how would i transfer my pn license from virginia beach, virginia(the state i presently reside in) to atlanta, ga. would i be able to hold dual state license? before i invest a very expensive sum of money, i want to be able to or know exactly what is the process to accomplish this? i am looking to relocate in oct 2008.

can anybody tell me how long it would take to receive my temporary license from Va BON after i submit my license by endorsement application? im moving to va from california.

any information will be very helpful to me.

georgia is the worst state in terms of license endorsements..better try some other states like SC
