I'm applying for the Generic Full Time RN program for fall 2014 (August). I took my NLN Pax exam already and got an overall score of 143. Curious if this will be goof enough to get in? Can't find any stats since the previous test was the TEAS... Looking forward to hearing back from anyone else that has taken the test already. Thx.
However I am married and have a 21 month old
Welcome to the party (thread). Congratulations on doing well on the exam and more importantly for having your baby!
I had a similar score to yours but I never heard from the NLN or the College. Did you apply for the transitional program? How did you prepare for the NLN?
Hopefully, we will all receive great news from the College soon.

I studied from the NLN book. Did most of the practice tests and studied some vocabulary. I studied for about 4 weeks. Mainly at night and weekends.

I looked into the Accelerated BSN program at a couple of schools (Barry, USF, UNF, Nova) and would probably still get a BSN and masters eventually. However the quickest way, and the route that my employer was willing to pay for, was the ASN degree and then licensure once I have that degree. I am married and have a 21 month old so the difference between being out of work for 12 months has a little less impact on my family than even 18 or 24 months.
