  1. DEP2000 is the class.
  2. I took anatomy and physiology separately. The classes I took were actually more advanced than the classes they made me take. I also had to take the intro to Healthcare class they require and some developmental psychology class that was a joke. I start on the 25th the accelerated ADN Nursing program.
  3. I had a degree in biology and still had to take AP1 & 2 in order to get into their nursing program. They accepted my credits from Florida Int'l Univ., but still made me take a bunch of classes to meet requirements for the specific program I wanted to get in to. They transferred most though. Good luck. Some more info might help. Is there a specific program you want to get in to? Or is it just an AA degree?
  4. Nope. They told me around mid August. I don't think you need it until you start clinicals, so there is time.
  5. Will do. Remember this is the Accelerated program's syllabus.
  6. I'd start reading fundamentals of nursing. If the AO is starting from chapter 1 so will the generic PT and FT. I'd be mother than happy to forward the syllabus if any one wants it. Keep in my though, this is for the ACCELERATED OPTION.
  7. I received an email with the syllabi for several classes for the Accelerated option. NUR1025,C,L & (I think)1141. I've got a lot to read over the next few weeks. About 6 chapters covered in the 1st lecture. Should be fun.
  8. Ronaldo is NO WHERE near as good as Messi.
  9. You'll be fine. Anxiety is normal. Professional athletes step on the field all the time wondering what they are doing there. Leo Messi, the best footballer in the world, vomits before almost every game because of nerves. If you didn't belong you wouldn't have gotten in. The beginning will be rough, but we can all help each other get through it. (Sorry for the sports references on a forum full of mainly women, but sports are what I love.)
  10. The app is free. I already have it on my Note 3 and my Note 10.1 (tablet). The registration info won't be available until the end of August or early September though.
  11. A little heads up to anyone that bought unis from else where and needs them embroidered. There is a place on 117 ave and sunset drive (SW 72 street) that also does it for $7. They sell the uniforms as well and will put the emblem on for $5 if you buy them there. I believe it's called All Uniforms. I think it's a chain and that are tons of then in Miami.
  12. Andrea don't stress the assignments. They only go over a few systems in the Boot camp. Cardiac, Integumentary, Skeletal and maybe 1 other. If you haven't done those tutorials YOU WILL BE FINE. I promise. Do them if you can, but don't lose sleep.
  13. Which NLN Study Guide? The red one? I have that but used it and did most of the tests in it. I din't think any one would want it like that.
  14. Amazon is awesome. Preaching to the choir here. Not only did I get books (bought & rented), I also got my scrubs there. The same brand they sell in the book store. You just have to put the logo on the top. Amazon.com: white swan scrubs Using this link you can get Amazon Student Prime free for a few months and get free 2-day shipping on most items. After (I think) 6 months you have to pay for Prime but it's 1/2 off for students. Worth it if you ask me. http://www.amazon.com/gp/student/signup/info?ie=UTF8&refcust=QTIEXZQ57BIFMVJ5CVKGDSXGJY&ref_type=generic
