RN generic full Time fall 2014- Miami dade college

Published

I'm applying for the Generic Full Time RN program for fall 2014 (August). I took my NLN Pax exam already and got an overall score of 143. Curious if this will be goof enough to get in? Can't find any stats since the previous test was the TEAS... Looking forward to hearing back from anyone else that has taken the test already. Thx.

was anyone able to find the Brunner and Suddarths textbook ? I cant find the 13 ed by Smeltzer and Bare

Nevermind I see that the form they gave us at Boot camp listed the wrong edition. How are you guys getting your books? I haven't decided if I should get the Ucentral app.

My appeal was denied too. I was hoping for the best buy prepared for the worst. I'll just have to pick up a few shifts here and there at work. I got a short term loan and applied for scholarship.

Go to financial aid and see why your appeal was denied. Mine was denied twice and I turned out I had to turn in more paper work about a W I had on my transcript. Finally got approved.

Yeah only got the syllabus for fundamental... I think the name tag is more for clinical...

hello, I just red u're post Fundamental is not a hard class it is just a lot of info, a lot of reading, and starting to use critical thinking. The exams are scenario type only and sometimes what kills u is that two of the answers can be right.

It all depends on the Professor that u get I guess. My suggestion would be to read the chapters assigned ahead of time, and practice those questions as much as a u can.

The name tag is only for clinicals u do not wear it on class days.

Good luck everyone hang in there. Next week will be kind of chaotic in the sense that everything is new and they will give u a lot of new info, but if u study, take the time to read the material u should be fine. Once u get into the new routine, it will become a little easier.. Wish everyone a successful first semester in nursing school!!!
