RN generic full Time fall 2014- Miami dade college

I'm applying for the Generic Full Time RN program for fall 2014 (August). I took my NLN Pax exam already and got an overall score of 143. Curious if this will be goof enough to get in? Can't find any stats since the previous test was the TEAS... Looking forward to hearing back from anyone else that has taken the test already. Thx.

hello, I just red u're post Fundamental is not a hard class it is just a lot of info, a lot of reading, and starting to use critical thinking. The exams are scenario type only and sometimes what kills u is that two of the answers can be right.

It all depends on the Professor that u get I guess. My suggestion would be to read the chapters assigned ahead of time, and practice those questions as much as a u can.

The name tag is only for clinicals u do not wear it on class days.

Good luck everyone hang in there. Next week will be kind of chaotic in the sense that everything is new and they will give u a lot of new info, but if u study, take the time to read the material u should be fine. Once u get into the new routine, it will become a little easier.. Wish everyone a successful first semester in nursing school!!!

Hey everyone we have less than week to relax

I have a small issue here...So I went to the All uniform wear store on 27th to have the MDC patch put on my scrub top. I picked it up Monday and thought everything was fine until I got home to look at the patch online. They put the clinical top logo on my green scrub top. I have been trying to call them but no answer :angrybird1:. Just want to know if anyone else had this issue.

did anyone place an order with the blue angels store for a green scrub top and has yet to get it? i placed an order a month ago and they STILL 'have not received anything'. im really hoping theyre not giving me the run around because its already paid for... anyone else having the same problem???? im so angry ive called every week and have gotten a different excuse every time. :mad:

No i got it all white.. i did got the clinical logo for the lab coat. But i don't think it will be a problem

Are you talking about the store in front of the school? If so, they told me I would get it Monday and when I went they told me come in tuesday. I called them Tuesday morning and they said come in that afternoon. I didn't even bother going, so I called this morning, assuming they would, but he told me tomorrow. Did you call again??

Yea, it does suck when a business doesn't conduct business well. They shouldn't have customers feeling frustrated. But I guess we'll have to wait and see what unfolds.

Oh yes I called the uniform store back...they told me they only have the logo that is intended for the white top, they do not have the all gray logo for the green scrub top. They gave me the impression they had both logos. Ughhh! :angrybird1: It may or may not be a problem but I called the Blue Angel store across from the school, the guy said h may be able to take the patch off and put the right logo on top. But he will have to send it off though to have it put on. That's fine, I guess I will just buy a shirt from the school store until it comes back.

No worries though...school is about to start and I refuse to stress this small thing. I will just buy a shirt from the school. :yes: :cool: Everything is going to workout :headphone:

Has anyone from the homestead generic program received a syllabus from Turner for the assessment class? Thomas sent us syllabus for fund, lab, and math class and the chapters to read ahead of time, but I haven't received anything from the assessment teacher.

Well i did save a lot money on mine and is totally fine they just look like the one at school and the same brand and only $40 for two set.. i guess she just got unlucky.

The clinical top was more expensive that the school Uniform lol
