I actually just started the program last Monday. They were very generous accepting my old credits. Out of a 14 class ciricullum, I have to take 10 classes. I wanted to clep but they accepted so many credits, clep would make me short graduation credits. I'll graduate with 2 credits over the required amount. These classes are short (8 wks) and very intense with lots of paper writing, but very doable. So far, very nice teachers.
I chose Chamberlain because I can't go to class, have to raise kids, have to work full time. Seems like it will fit in to my schedule.

Thanks,I've finally opted for chamberlain. It is expensive though!
I agree about the cost, but I figure since they were so generous with my credits I'll break even in the end, as compared to other programs.

hey debanamrn can you let me know why you didn't pick excelsior's bsn program? i see so many ec adns go to a different college for bsn. i am wondering why. i know lunahrn said something about not accepting her credits that's why she chose chamberlain and suesquatchrn left ec bsn due to video taping requirements and went to chamberlain as well. i am seriously contemplating between ec and chamberlain for bsn. do you mind telling me how much it will cost you for the 10 classes you have to take? i have so many college credits as well due to my previous degree.
i even researched the local universities in our area, such as rutgers university online rn-bsn and seton hall university online rn-bsn and they are very expensive as well.
thanks,
angel
I figure it will cost about $18-20,000. I chose Chamberlain because I do not want to tape anything, as EC requires. That did it for me. I chose online because Rutgers and Seaton often require one day a week classroom. Can't do that either. They also require letters of recommendation, which I could get but don't really want to be bothered with. I really want to eventually do my MSN thru UMDNJ, but that's way off in the future.

thanks, i am most likely will do chamberlain as well because i don't want to do the video taping stuff with ec. i thought the online rn-bsn with rutgers and seton hall were 100 percent on line. in any case, the tuition is comparable with chamberlain.
good luck with your program and everyone's program!!
Honestly, as soon as I got to the part about the letters of reference I was done with the other schools. I just didn't want to be bothered with all that.
To aZor I believe uop is best fitted for Nigerian trained nurses,if u don't want to retake classes u already took. Their program accommodates prior classes, from non American institution.
