I completed my BSN in one year. Cheaper, no. There are many different options out there. With a little research (alot of it has been done for you on this forum) you should find a program that works for you. Good luck!
I agree. I know I would probably pay alot less if I went to a state school to get my BSN, but then I would need alot more gen ed classes (my current school doesn't require any), and it would take me around 2 years to graduate. Since I have the time now, I figure I'd rather go full-time now and pay as much out of pocket as I can. Even if I have to take out a small student loan, I've figured I can pay it off quickly after graduating (I try to avoid loans).
My program is 2 years (if I go full time, which I'm not) and I still have 5 classes to take at the CC as prereqs. It's at a university in my state, but totally online. I'm paying for it totally with tuition reimbursement.
If I decide to continue on with my NP or CNS I will attend the same school.

I've been looking at some local colleges that offer them online and it looks like it takes 2 years!!! I could have sworn it was only one year but perhaps I'm wrong? How long is your program suppose to take if you do full-time?
I wanted to hop right into my MSN but if I can save some money by doing my BSN first, I'd be much happier!
