Hello I wanted to start a thread for RCC Nursing Spring 2015!!!!! Anyone that will be applying to the program for spring 2015 lets get together to chat and support each other through this process!!!!! Good Luck everyone!!! Hope to see u guys in class next spring!!!:)
I'm in the second year of the program and thought I would offer some insights. As far as books are concerned for first semester, the Taylor Fundamentals book and Taylor/Lynn Skills book are mainly what I read out of. If you can't buy the small books right now, I wouldn't worry too much about it...read Taylor and you'll be fine for first semester.
I purchased the Lippincott bundle when I first started and I personally like the Coursepoint/Prep-U for the NCLEX style questions they quiz you on. The Prep-U should work for your Taylor Fundamentals and your Med-Surg book which you'll start to use in N12.
If you guys have questions, I'll try to check back here.
Ya, I know we are going to need more then just the bundle. However, I was under the impression the bundle will due for now. I believe that question was asked and they said it will be okay for now. I think I'll get the bundle and maybe the Cherry & Jacob. But I'll probably wait on the rest until I feel like I really need them. Thanks tx138 for the info. So did you only purchased the bundle to start out with?
For those of you wondering they do have a Elsevier package now. It's 220 used and 293 new. You can see it on the bookstore website.
Do u know the elsevier bundle includes all the books that are not in the first bundle?
i m wondering if it includes all the books cause it might be cheaper to buy them separately
I am done with all the paperwork however they havent got back to me as far as being cleared.
Do you remember how they said if you finish your papers early you get to pick your clinical site? I hope they can save my spot in the cohort B cause my reg. date is on Jan. 24th ...kinda late though

The cost for the books, supplies bag and the 2 year membership is about $1450. ( recommended books included) Does anyone know if the bookstore manager was able to get a deal with the eleviser publisher? He was trying to get a bundle deal for those books as well.
