Riverside Community Collge RN Spring 2015

Published

Hello I wanted to start a thread for RCC Nursing Spring 2015!!!!! Anyone that will be applying to the program for spring 2015 lets get together to chat and support each other through this process!!!!! Good Luck everyone!!! Hope to see u guys in class next spring!!!:)

I just finished paperwork and uploaded everything on databank....Do you guys know how long that takes to be checked and cleared?

Also on the databank when you are typing in positive or negative results for titers, does being immune mean you are positive or does it mean you are negative...Im confused, hopefully I did it right haha:down:

I'm not sure about the titer results lol but once you upload everything I believe they said wait 24 hours and then let them know. They should be able to see it within 24 hours.

FYI : I called the bookstore yesterday and its $293 for the Elsevier bundle; however, it only includes 3 of the elsevier required books the other 2 books in the bundle are "recommended books"

U still need to buy separately the Nursing pathways book, Health Promotion and the portifolio.

xxoolis...

With regards to titers, we want to list "positive" as it means the results indicate that we have immunity to the particular disease. A "negative" would indicate no immunity. :)

Yes you want to click positive for titers. Which indicates you have immunity. From what I understand our health requirements are cleared first by ------------- ( can't say names on here) and she gives okay to --------------. He then clears you to register once he has confirmed background check and drug test is all good. I'm going to email him now to see if he will be clearing me for January 12th registration. Did anyone happen to check if they lowered the price on the skills bag?

Also once I put all my health info into complio I emailed ------------- (less then an hour later). She emailed me right back telling me she cleared me with --------------. I think she can see all the info entered into complio. However, she is only in the office on Monday and Tuesdays so if she didn't clear your health requirements yet it might have to wait until she's back in the office.

I don't know if anyone has asked this already but do we all have priority registration or is the registration date that is on webadvisor the one that we go by?

Awesome question~~ I was also wondering about this but assumed we'd have to stick to our registration date as posted by WebAdvisor.

It would be awesome if we could all be given priority registration!!!

Yes we get priority registration starting the 12th. But you must be cleared by -----------------. Once you have all your health requirements cleared by -----------, contact ----------- and let him know. He'll make sure your background check and drug screening is good. Then he should clear you. I emailed him today because I'm done with everything and I'm waiting to be cleared. I'm still waiting to hear from him. Do not wait for you registration on webadvisor.

I got my registration date. Did anyone else get theirs?

I went to the bookstore today. The price of the skills bag will not drop!! DARN!!!!!

Thanks RN2B. That sucks!! I have another question for those who will be getting financial aid. Will you take other classes to make your schedule full time? If so what classes will you take? Does anyone know what the nursing learning laboratory class is?
