Riverside Community Collge RN Spring 2015

Published

Hello I wanted to start a thread for RCC Nursing Spring 2015!!!!! Anyone that will be applying to the program for spring 2015 lets get together to chat and support each other through this process!!!!! Good Luck everyone!!! Hope to see u guys in class next spring!!!:)

Vanessa, I'd be interested in joining in to hopefully lock in a group rate! Please update us once you hear back from her? TIA

Im having troubles with my email. It doesnt want to send but I did leave her a voicemail. If one of you that is also interested can send her an email that would be great!

I have my CPR but it expires 06/16. I will have to renew in our second year. If the price is good I might be interested just to get it out of the way. Please let me know the group cost is when you hear back from her. Thanks!

Vanessa I am getting ready to do some shifts if I can't get in for the Spring, so I do need my cpr card. I would like info on doing it as a group as well. I also got my titers done just in case and my physical at my Drs office. I will just keep those records for the FALL If need be. No extra monies spent until I know where I stand. You all got your books and started reading yet?

I was able to send the email so I'll let you all know as soon as she replies!

I haven't got my book yet Wanda. They're expensive and I need to get the other stuff like the ATI, background check, shots, and registration fees before I can afford to get my books. I think towards the end of January is when I'll be able to purchase them and get my uniform. I don't want to start the readings to early anyways, I'd rather it be more fresh in my mind.

The Holidays are making it hard to get things done fast. I received my registration ID for the drug testing already, but because of my schedule and their schedule I can't even get it done until after the holidays. I noticed a lot of the skills we'll be learning the first few weeks are things they teach you in CNA school. Those students who have their CNA and LVN license will be a little ahead of the game.

The person hasn't replied to my email nor my voice mail so I have signed up for my cpr class else where just so you all are not waiting on her. I don't want to wait and be stuck not having it done on time.

Hey guys does anyone know if we have to go the lab they put on our authorization form for the drug screening? Or can we go to any Quest Diagnostic? I made an appointment for the quest by my work for today, but I just realized they put a different location on the form. If I don't make today's appointment I'll have to wait until Monday due to my work schedule and the holiday. It should only take a couple days for the test results to be done right? I want everything done by the 12th.

He did say that we could use a location not listed. But you need to make sure that QD does the correct drug screen. He said in the past people used a different location, but the drug screen was not correct. So just double check the type of drug screen required and make sure that is the one u get.

That's weird they got the drug screen wrong when the order is on the authorization form lol. I'll probably just wait and get it done Monday. I just wanted to hurry up and get it done so I can be cleared. Have you had yours done yet? Do you know how many days it takes to get the results. I'm guessing it shouldn't take more then three days. I'm hoping I can have the result and background check done by next Friday. I haven't received anything regarding my background check but they did call my work to verify my employment.

No. I am out of town till sunday. I did go out to to uniform company. It just happened to be where i am visiting. Those things are not big girl friendly! When i get home i will do background and drug. I hope it does not take too long. I want to enroll early as wel.

Any of you all going to take the success in nursing or medical math next week?
