Riverside Community Collge RN Spring 2015

Hello I wanted to start a thread for RCC Nursing Spring 2015!!!!! Anyone that will be applying to the program for spring 2015 lets get together to chat and support each other through this process!!!!! Good Luck everyone!!! Hope to see u guys in class next spring!!!:)

Hi QueenWandaful. The TEAS were hard for me, but I had a lot going on at the time. I think nerves got the best of me. However, there are some people who score in the 80's and 90's so it's possible to do very well. There was a small percent of students who scored over 75% last year when I took the TEAS at RCC. So I think the average is in the 70's. Just study hard and remember the test is harder then the ATI study guide practice test. You need to study more in depth in each subject then the study guide goes over. I recommend taking the online practice test through ATI it's more similar to the test. Good luck you'll do good as long as you study :)

Yea time to get serious with studying for the TEAS. :sorry:

Thanks so much. I am just ready to get it over with. I am coming in with 55 points so I need to get at least a 71 to get 80 points at least. I was told that you can get accepted with 75 points. So I am hoping for a decent score on the TEAS.

Hello everyone. I'm also an applicant for the Spring 2015 class. I'm not sure how to calculate my score just yet. I know I have 65 without my general ed. I'm not sure how to calculate my general ed. I will call on Monday and see when I can meet with some one. I'm glad I found this thread. I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one anxious about this process. I've been reading older post from previous semesters and realize that a support system that can empathize with what we are going through is where we find our sanity. From what I gather, the wait is nerve-wrecking. Good luck to you all!

Hi Jaclark,

There is a calculation sheet for GE course on the SON website. You should be able to plug your grades in and come up with your points for your GE classes!! Good Luck!!! If you cant find it let me know I can email you a copy if you like!!

Thank you. I'll look

Hi RN2B, I noticed on another thread (I Think Fall2014) you were accepted. If you don't mind, what was your total point score? I've been trying to gauge what has been accepted in the past. After calculating my GE GPA, I'm sitting at an 80. Hopefully that will gain me a spot.

Based on the last class admitted I have been told that anything 75 points and over will get you in, but is also depends on the current point totals of the class applying for admittance. I think you should be fine.

The application closed today. I was looking at last springs thread and it was much more active than this one. I was told for the fall they had about 30 students who did not accept their spots. Hum, I am wondering If the pool of applicants is lower for the Spring term?

jaclark222 You should be good. I am praying that I get at least a 71 on the teas so I can have 80 points. It seems like so much information to review.

The TEAS was tough. The reading and writing was difficult. Born and raised speaking English only to realize I know very little about the language. LOL Good luck Queenwandaful. Use as many study aids as possible. Barnes and noble sell study materials but can get pretty expensive. I've read in previous threads that the library has materials as well. There is also an app that I bought for my iphone. It was $10 but well worth it since i was able to study just about anywhere. Can't wait to hear how you do. Study well and good luck once again.
