Omg I've been trying to post and I had all my login info at work and I couldn't comment!! Yes I got in with 80 points!! I had 4.0 in my sciences. 3.8 General. I just got my CNA in August and I have a language. I think my teas were like 69 ( not good). I can't believe there are people who had 80 points and didn't get in. I think you guys should call them and make sure they calculated your points accurately. I've read all the previous threads and everyone with 80 got in. It must have been more competitive this time. Queen I'm praying you get in as a alternate. All you alternates still have a shot!!

Yay Mindy I am so happy for you. Congrats Girl. Do you know how do they pick alternates?

That depends on the cutoff. We had an applicant with almost a perfect score of 100 points. So maybe the cutoff was 85 this time around.

It might, but I highly doubt it. I just contacted my buddy and he got in with 75 points. He isn't on allnurses though.

I'm confused on how they pick the alternates. I'm not sure if the lottery picks are different then the alternate list. I'm sure the people with the highest points are first on the alternate list. That's only fair. Queen did you take a copy of your nursing license in there?

Yes I did. I am confused though if people got in with 75 points than why did the ones with 80 points not get in? That's only fair? How are they choosing who gets in? Idk. I am exhausted? I will call them tomorrow and find out where I stand and what's the process. So alternate is not the lottery?

I have no clue about lottery vs alternate. I was confused about that the last time I applied. But I think they go by highest points for alternate. Say there's five with 80 and five with 75 they will pick from the 80. And I think the picks are random when you have the same amount of points.

No alternates are not the lottery. If someone does not get through the "red tape" background checks, immunizations, physicals etc then they are dropped and replaced by alternates. Or if someone declines their spot and alternate will take the spot. We are accepted PENDING completion of the "red tape". So ask SON whats ur number on the alternate list?

There's no reason why someone with 75 points got in where someone with 80 didn't. Those people with 80 who did not get in need to call and check their points first thing tomorrow. Rcc could have made a mistake. It's happened before I read about it on the previous threads.

I am calling first thing tomorrow and going to the office....i have a bachelors language and got an 80 on my teas....im not gonna be abke to sleep

How many points did everyone have? I had 80 and I got a email saying all spaces had been filled unfortunately

I don't know Guys. You need to call tomorrow. That's strange. I was told that some with less points can get in with random selection, but of folks got in with less points then you need to find out. That's why I was telling you guys to go down there and have your points verified.
