Riverside Community Collge RN Spring 2015

Published

Hello I wanted to start a thread for RCC Nursing Spring 2015!!!!! Anyone that will be applying to the program for spring 2015 lets get together to chat and support each other through this process!!!!! Good Luck everyone!!! Hope to see u guys in class next spring!!!:)

Yay Queen that's great news!! Hurry up December!! Conveks if you have 75 points you have a good shot at getting in. It looks like you have 50 points with everything you mentioned not including your general ed ( I added the 5 for life experiences). So you'll need a 4.0 in your general ed to get 25 points added. Did you happen to take a language course? I had 70 points last time I applied and did not get accepted. But that don't mean you don't have a shot with 70 points. They still do the lottery and it all depends on what the cut off is for this application period. Good luck to you. I hope you get in!!

Mindy there's less applicants for the spring. I hope the cut off is 70 points so I can have a better chance at getting in.

Only 400 applicants...well that's good for us:) Maybe cause it's the Spring application period. That still seems like a lot of people to compete against. I hope they don't mess up on counting my points. I took my teas with them last year so I didn't resubmit them. They told me I didn't have to. I also had to walk in my CNA license cause my scanner wasn't working. Since everything is electronic the receptionist didn't know where to put it. I was like really?? I called to verify twice to make sure they had all my documents on file. Lol. I guess I'm a little paranoid.

I hope so too Queen!! I hope they send out the emails early!! Haha wishful thinking ;0)

Mindy they just might because S said that if he gets to it it may be sooner. Lets hope..

Unfortunately I didnt get a 4.0 but I'm hopeful. I remember calling them and telling them my situation and they told me they take all situations into consideration. And yes I took a language course as well. It just sucks that there's nothing between 3.0 and 3.5 GPA.. I'm riding at 3.33 for my science and that falls under 3.0 and same with my Gen Ed. as well. Fortunately I already got accepted to Santa Ana but we all know RCC is the #1 choice.

Conveks congrats on getting into a program!! Yes stay hopeful you can still get into RCC. Like Queen said there's a lot less applicants this time so that's a good thing:) Do you live near Santa Ana? Is it a community college you got accepted into?

Well it's good you have a backup plan. I have none, but I don't want to go anywhere else. 75 points is about the average points applicants have. Well I registered for the winter and plan on taking Spanish or sign language just in case I don't get in. That's 5 more points I can use for the fall. Time is going by so slow now that the time has changed. I wish we could find out before thanksgiving break LoL.

Yeah I only applied to RCC as well. I was thinking about applying to CSSB cause my goal is to get my BSN, but it's to expensive for me. If I get into RCC I plan on bridging over to Cal Fullerton.

I think that's a good idea Queen. Register for one of those classes just in case. You know how fast the classes fill up.

Mindy don't worry I believe 80 points will get you in this time. I am just going to prepare like I will be starting the program in February.

It's one of the many colleges near my area that I applied to. RCC, Santa Ana College, Cypress.. My #1 choice is RCC and I also have a friend who is currently going there as well. Like many of you, I'm just anxious for a decision already.
