Hello I wanted to start a thread for RCC Nursing Spring 2015!!!!! Anyone that will be applying to the program for spring 2015 lets get together to chat and support each other through this process!!!!! Good Luck everyone!!! Hope to see u guys in class next spring!!!:)

I met with Jacks over the summer just to make sure of my point total because I wanted no surprises regarding admissions to the program. I had taken the TEAS V almost a year ago and scored in mid 90s for National and Program Percentiles. Adjusted score was 83.3%. This gave me 85 total points. Now I am just waiting to hear from RCC and the waiting is killing me. I wish I had taken some classes this semester maybe some more Chem or Math.

I thought you were in for the Spring or the Fall. Yea I was reading about the point mix up. I tried emailing the guy who started the thread for the Spring 13 and it said his mailbox was full. I just wanted to know if he got in. Because it I thought he got in for the Spring, but I saw that he applied again for the Fall. Funny how you read these threads and want everyone to get accepted. 85 points is great. I'm sure you will get in.

I have good news for you. I went to the SON today and was told that letters will go out on the week of Dec 5th. Intake will be the week of the 19th. That's a little bit over three weeks.:cat:

Hello. I was wondering what my chances were of getting in..? I was a bit jipped on the whole point system here because I got a 77 (78 being 5 more points) on my TEAS V and this was the following week after I completed my summer (6-week) microbiology course. I didn't even know RCC sent out invitations so I took it without knowing unfortunately. Anyways I got A, B, B respectively on my science prereqs and also got an A in PSYCH9. I already have a bachelors degree and basically completed all General Ed listed on the curriculum with A or B's which hopefully raises my chances. Right now I'm sitting at about 70-75 points at most if I can estimate the total including my GPA and TEAS. I was told that they take everything into consideration so I'm hoping I get in!

Well you have a good change of getting in at 75 points. Anything lower you might get in through the lottery. I was told that some have gotten in with 65 points through the Lottery. Stay positive...

Make sure you check all emails!!! The first time I applied I got my rejection email via my yahoo account. The second time I applied I got my acceptance email via the rcc account that I never activated seen or heard of!!! The SON called and asked me if I got the email about the acceptance letter told them no, but later I found out it went to my RCC email!! I was expecting it to go to my yahoo because I had gotten previous emails from them via yahoo!!! Just an FYI!!

I was told that they did not get very many applicants this time only about 400 instead of the 600 to 800 they usually get. That could be why this thread is so quiet. A lot of applicants did not even turn in their TEAS scores that was due last week. They could have up to 100 seats I just need one LoL.. Where's my Mindy at? You, Mindy, and I are always posting.
