Hello everyone. I just wanted to start the thread for all the new applicants of RCC's Nursing Program for Spring 2014. :( I really wanted Kaiser, I live like 2 mins away. Im surprised how quickly these all got filled as well. Did you get into your choice of clinicals?

I was bummed too! Kaiser is 5 min away. I got my second choice--Arrowhead :-). What's your second choice?

I spoke with someone at the Nursing Dept. and they explained that once we get cleared we can register during our registration date. Getting "cleared" doesnt give us priority registration.

Im so confused. I thought I heard S say that getting cleared sooner gives us priority registration.

Priority registration is from Jan 8th to Jan 10th. After that, you have to register on or after the registration date given to you on webadvisor

you had to have everything done before the 8th, because priority is only jan 8-10, and after that it's regular registration, even if you had priority for the 8-10 and forgot to register you can't register on the 11, you would have to wait until your scheduled date

Say you got everything cleared on the 7th.

What the lady told me was that you are cleared to register on your date Webadvisor gives you. They dont change your date.

Is this true?

I emailed the nurse and the male advisor that I was ready to be cleared. I got an email back saying I was cleared to register. I went on webadvisor and it said I had priority registration.

You think they can bump your date earlier or we just have to stick with what we have ? :(

ADB got stuck on my employment verification, couldnt get a hold of my previous employer, (she apparently retired) But I caught wind that was the issue and got it cleared up. But its too late now :(

FYI you'll get amazing experiences at RCH and Parkview! Whoever got those, you're so lucky and luckier if you have Render! Good luck
