Hi everyone!
I thought I would begin a thread for everyone applying to the nursing program at Riverside City College for the spring 2016. Hope we can share about our process here. :)
Currently, I'm finishing up my Anatomy/Physiology 2 and Sociology 100 at CSUSB. So far, I've been doing well, I think haha! If I finish with an A in sociology I'll have a 4.0 for my general eds and a 3.0 for my science gpa. After the spring quarter, I'll be studying for the TEAS exam for a little over a month and take the exam in July. Any advice that's related to the TEAS exam?
Hope we can begin this thread. Best wishes to everyone here! :)
There are no payment plans sadly.
So if you don't qualify for the BOG waiver for finacial aid you have to pay tuition. Which I think is $46 a unit now? So tuition is about $500 with all the fees.
Then the Uniform + Skills bag will run you about $400 (this is with 2 sets of uniforms and 1 skills bag) Each uniform set is $100 and the skills bag is $200. The skills bag has a lot of great stuff in it that you will use through the entire program.
Then there are the books... Which they will overwhelm you with on intake day and your BP will go up. But if you cant afford the books right away, just get Fundamentals, Taylor Skills book, and the Coursepoints. Theres 3 courepoins that are mandatory and they are so useful I can't even imagine not having them. Take as many tests as possible all semester on them and you will ace your tests in N11. I want to say the bookstore bundle is about $1200.
I got all of my books online and shopped around and I think I saved about $500.
Then there are the immunizations and physical.. if you have insurance that will cover most of it, but if you go through RCC it'll run you about $125 total.
Here was our textbook list which I am sure won't change that much for you guys: http://www.rcc.edu/departments/schoolofnursing/Documents/ADN%20Fall%202015%20Booklist.pdf
Hello lunalovegood25,Thank you for the encouraging words!
I wanted to ask you what was the total amount that we have to pay upfront(if any) once
we get accepted or if we get to make payments as we go?
Thank you in advance!
