Anyone applying for RCC's Fall 2015 Nursing program?
Thought I'd start a thread to communicate about applying, TEAS, etc.
Hello! I know earlier on you posted about the option to get your bachelors degree from university of Phoenix. Do you have any more info on these options? I think university of Fullerton is another option. Thanks!
I do not know if they signed the contract with UOP yet. I was told that it will be an option for the Fall 15 class. If so they will discuss it at intake.
Hello everyone, my advice to all of you is that get your finances and personal life in order before and throughout the program. This program is very intense. Nsg 11 is fundamentals which is a breeze in the park. Nsg 12 starts to become difficult and many won't pass. Nsg 13, 21, 22 only the strong survive. Just because you have straight As going into the program doesn't mean you will succeed. This program requires you to be intelligent, organized, patient, flexible, and most of all have nursing test taking skills. Hope this helps and good luck to everyone.

Wow that really puts things in perspective! If you don't mind, can you please share what resources or tools that have help you to remain successful in the program? Thank You!

Thank you! I'm not too worried about test taking ( I got through LVN) but I'm wondering how much writing matters, I'm dyslexic and struggle more than a bit to crank out college level essays. Also, (pretty please) are the teachers friendly to students taping lectures? My DSS accommodations allow it but if I'm the only one I know I'll be getting funny looks from the other students so I probably won't which will (deleted obscenity) kill my grades or at the very least, kick them really hard in the peri-area. Again, many thanks..

Hi and welcome!! Good luck to you as well don't stress yourself there were some who got in with 70 points as well so anything is possible. I have my CNA and HHA but I did my certification course in Torrance, CA. It was a weekend program but they also have one during the week for 5 weeks I believe if I remember correctly. Also if you Google CNA programs in Riverside County I'm sure something may pop up, I can ask another gal I work with as well because she did her training in Riverside I'm just not sure how current it was. But I will sure ask for you let me know if I can help with anything else
Thank you!! I have tried Google but without any luck, all the school would just link me to other certification programs. I have heard there's programs around $900 but no one could ever give me an actual school or place. At this point I just want to find something and get the cna out of the way. I did find that the redcross has one but it doesnt start till late August and ends in late October. I need to have it done by mid October for the deadline so im kind of running out of time without finding anything

That is true, Scholarships are tedious and it all depends on when we get this acceptance letters. I'm just working more (at County hospital) it's helping kill time but is a constant reminder of the stress of getting accepted.
