Anyone applying for RCC's Fall 2015 Nursing program?
Thought I'd start a thread to communicate about applying, TEAS, etc.
@soloreo93 thanks for the pointers. I'm nervous!!! In the English/reading sections my pre-test came back at 80%. The the other 2 subjects not so hot. I have my work cut out for me. I plan to study until I can't take it anymore and then study some more.....lol. Do you mind sharing your test score? Do you have an idea what your total application points will be?
I know I was soooo nervous too I almost cried from stress the day before lol..I got an 80.7 % and my total points for the program will be 80 also..I also did flashcards from Quizlet and did practice tests online. I regret not going over the book a second time, I think it would have helped and I may have scored higher. Do flashcards anything that helps, and study until you're sick of going over the material so many times lol
Hi everyone! I am also hoping to get into the program at RCC if I don't get into CSUSB. I took the TEAS exam on Feb. 14th and have to say it wasn't as hard as everyone made it seem, just make sure you STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!! The only thing that I used was the ATI study manual, as well as some websites here and there to help me with math and english. I know most people say that math and science are the hardest sections, but PLEASE make sure you go over the english section as well!! It was really tough for me. Luckily, my science portion dealt with A&P and bio more than anything else, so I did pretty good. My overall score was 88%. I also wanted to attach a link that helped me study a lot, it's actually on another thread. I hope this helps you all! :)

Good luck!
Yes, thanks for sharing! Every little bit helps!!! For those of you who have taken the TEAS, do they give you breaks in between each section, or do you test straight through? Is the test self-paced?
Hi Sammyjoe, when I took the exam mine was paper based I know a lot of them are computer based now. The sections are timed and if you run out of time they will count the ones you did not answer incorrect, so guess on the ones you have to if need be to try and secure those points. We did get a short break in between each section, but I'm not sure if since most are computer based if they do the same. They should, considering it's about a 4 hour exam if I remember correctly. Just try and pace yourself accordingly, as with any other exam and you will do great! I was so nervous and did better than I thought I would. 😄
Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences for the teas for us that haven't taken it! I really appreciate it & hope to return the favor to some else one day!@sammyjoe11 - are you hoping to take ur teas with rcc??
Yes, I hope to take the test at RCC. Fingers crossed on the invite xx!!! We find out next month right?

I took my TEAS Jan 30, and I think what helped me the most was the ATI study manual. I read it front to back and took notes on it. I think I would have scored better if I would have also bought the TEAS online practice tests, but I didn't have money for them >.https://allnurses.com/teas-exam-help/how-i-passed-804222.html
