Personally, I would take Microbiology at RCC, Dr.Lisa is great at teaching and it is possible to earn an A, she just makes you work for it as any science teacher should. For the TEAS, I recommend taking one of the practice tests if you can off of the ATI website. I used the momentrix to study for the TEAS.
I really wanted to take the Micro with her, but it would put me back a whole semester of being able to apply to the program or taking Micro and A&P2B together. I guess I'll start studying for the TEAS right after finishing A&P2B.
It's almost September 1st! Just a couple more weeks :)
I'm so excited for everyone applying. I can't apply until next Fall, but it's so exciting to see everyone apply. I also get nervous for everyone when waiting for your acceptance letters. Good luck everyone using the new points system. I'm curious what the cutoff will be now.
Hello everyone! I am super nervous and excited to apply next week. I currently have 46 points(w/o TEAS score) and I'm freaking out about the test. I think I'll be scheduling the test for mid Oct. I heard test results are due by November. Anybody have any input on that?
Do you have at least a 3.0 in your sciences? If you do, you may be invited to take the TEAS for free at RCC. You can reach out to Steve and ask him, but it's good to have a plan just in case. I believe that exam will be at the beginning of November so scores will need to be turned in around the end of Oct/beginning of Nov if you take it elsewhere. I'm excited to apply next week also :). Good luck!
Hello all! I am also planning on applying for the Spring 2018 cohort. I am getting so nervous and excited to send in my application. I was wondering if anyone knew if Riverside has a policy about repeated prerequisites? I am currently living in Seattle and am having trouble gathering information about this specific program. I'm also curious if our TEAS scores are due at the time of the application due date? Best of luck to everyone!

RCC will accept the highest grade you get I believe. The TEAS scores are not due right away, but the school will only accept the first attempt. I am not entirely sure when the scores are due, but it most likely will be the end of October or early November. I know there is an information PowerPoint on the nursing website. I hope this helps! Best of luck!

Thank you so much for the information. This helps a lot!

2B was the hardest class for me, I think it was more intense than Micro. Just make sure you really understand and retain the information for your TEAS especially :)
