Do you all have your cpr done? If so, any recommendations on where to go? And does it need to be done before the first day?

You should get your CPR when you can, make sure its BLS and from the American Heart Association. Also start working on gathering Immunization records.

It's one of the items on the health forms so I think we definitely have to have it before classes start. I'm sure they'll discuss that at intake.

I got mine done at LifeLink in Riverside off Indiana and the 91. Jordan was a great instructor and after taking the test, I received my BLS card. Here's the link to their website Life Link CPR Training

I was also accepted! Congratulations to everyone who was accepted and I look forward to meeting all of you at intake! :)

For those accepted, I highly recommend getting your forms completed at the Health Center on campus. Your initial appointment will be to review your immunization records so they can determine which titers and immunizations you will need ordered. Call to make an appointment, take your paperwork with you (forms from Complio/that Steve emailed us, immunization records, and your flu shot paperwork if you got one this season), ID, and money to pay for the tests. They can do your hearing, vision, and physical exam there as well (you make a separate appointment to come back and get that done), but we are responsible for getting our drug screens complete else where.

As an FYI, they reopen next Tuesday, January 2nd. Hope that was helpful and I'm sure they will go over everything at intake. :)

Specializes in Psychiatry.

Not necessarily. I got into the program in fall 2016. I didnt get an invite. In fact, my TEAS score was really low. I would recommend you take the TEAS before you get an invite that way you can retake if you dont like your score. They only accept one score per application. Good luck though.

Super excited for intake on Monday. See you all soon!

Has anyone created a Facebook group for this yet? I would like to create one for better communication but unfortunately I do not have anyone on Facebook who is in the program. Any way to create the group without putting our full names on this website? Thanks!

Hello future RCC nursing students, hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I was on vacation for 2 wks and so I'm just getting back to the FB group page. It's RCC RN Spring 2018 if any of you want to join. Let me know if you have any issues, and I'm excited to meet you all at Intake tomorrow.

I searched that group and couldn't find it?
