Rio Salado HCR 240 Pathophysiology

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had taken the patho course at Rio and would be able to provide any information? I am so confused by the syllabus posted online. Are the quizzes/exams timed? Do we get more than 1 attempt? And do we have to go to Rio for the Midterm and Final? And is it necessary to buy the book package? I've never taken a class online, so I apologize if this info is presented somewhere. I will be grateful for any information that anyone can provide. Thanks in advance :)

Shotcaller, did you do all evolve modules? I started this class but between the reading and the evolve modules it was taking way too many hours a week. I will pick it up again once my other summer courses finish or take it in fall at CGCC depending if I think I really need to do all the evolve etc. Kindof intense imo.

I didn't take Patho at Rio but I can assure you the Evolve modules help.

Hello may I ask which professors that you guys took at rio salado for pathophysiology? I will be taking it in a few weeks. I live in California so the class will be all online. I just want some reviews on which teachers to take...thank you!!

Mafable- it doesn't matter which professor you take. At rio the courses are all preloaded and all courses are the same. In many courses the teacher can't modify the course without permission from the department. So it really doesn't matter what teacher as all classes will be the same assignment, same reading, same evolve, everything. I ended up taking it in summer, in person at cgcc with a popular professor and was sooo happy I did. It was so much better than the rio version IMO.

Thank you for the information! I'm just a little nervous because I am currently taking microbiology as well and will be starting pathophysiology in a few weeks. Again I appreciate the advice. Best luck to you!!

Hi I saw that it is mentioned that the exams for this course are online, do you remember if the exams were on lockdown browser or if they required a laptop camera to record you while you were taking it, or if there was anything like that? Thanks!
