Jgrawn, I agree with sun devil. I had way more time than I expected. However, whatever you set up does need to be extremely flexible. You won't have a schedule that's like 7-4 everyday. Mondays and Friday's were always consistent like sun devil said. Tue and thursdays, when we had lab (1st half of semester) we would start at 7 or 730 usually but that would change. And we would usually get out anywhere from 1-3 but there was once or twice we didn't get out til 430. The schedules you get usually always said 4 and you don't know til you're there if you'll be out early. Then in the second half of the semester when you had clinicals one day, lab one day, the clinicals start usually around 615 or so but that depends on placement and your teacher so it's a very early morning for daycare. Overall, I was always there to pick my kids up from school mon and fri, was able to always drop them off at school Wednesday's. On lab days (not clinical) was able to pick them up from school like 70% of the time.

WOOHOOOOOO. Now we can relax and stress about everything that needs to get done LOL

Well I think they do all the letters for both the post bac and the regular at the same time so I don't think it's just our program they are having to sift through.

I went and looked it up and 2 years ago acceptance emails went out Oct 29. Last year it was Nov 4.

Maycation, My advisor mentioned that they were making some curriculum changes for 2017. Have they mentioned anything to you guys about that?

Mafable- it doesn't matter which professor you take. At rio the courses are all preloaded and all courses are the same. In many courses the teacher can't modify the course without permission from the department. So it really doesn't matter what teacher as all classes will be the same assignment, same reading, same evolve, everything. I ended up taking it in summer, in person at cgcc with a popular professor and was sooo happy I did. It was so much better than the rio version IMO.

A friend of mine emailed her advisor who said they had 48 applicants this year (for spring 2017 post bac) for an expected 48 spots... So basically no one needs to worry apparently lol.

I don't know all the answers but I'll lay on you what I took into consideration when deciding. 1. ASU post bac is the shortest- 12 months but yes it's about 35,000. 2- similar program at u of a gives you a masters but is I believe 16isj months. No idea on cost. 3- CEP time and exact cost depends on what school you go with. NAU was my plan and would be 28-29 months but the cost was significantly less, around 15000. I ended up applying to the asu post bac primarily because of time. It's more expensive but that's over an extra year I can be earning. Also, the community college program was constantly changing the requirements and many of my fellow applicants kept thinking they had completed everything only to find out after applying that some requirement had changed in the last couple months and it began to start feeling like a hamster wheel. To attend asu post bac, childcare, for me, is going to be rough and extremely expensive but again I figured I'd have to pay it for a year rather than two and a half. Oh oh and the pre req courses- there are slightly fewer for cep. I don't remember the exact amount, but not so many fewer that it made a difference for me because nothing counted from my bachelors as I had a ba with like no science. Good old luck on your decision! Has anyone asked how many applicants there were this year? Good luck to everyone. @sundevil2015- how did you end up doing on your teas? I assume well since your practice scores were so high.

My understanding is you can only take the teas once per application cycle unless you get below whatever the pp said, 68 or 58 or something. But I wouldn't count yourself out with that adv score. It's right in the range of the cutoff and I believe several people got in off the wait list the last couple years with a score right around there. I think there's definitely hope!

Yeah, I would say in general the practice tests are harder than the real one but not waayyyyy harder. They do well to prepare you. The science is kindof a crap shoot because you might get a lot of questions about something you know really well or you might get a bunch about ones you didn't study as much recently. I would recommend doing at least one of the ATI online exams even though they are expensive. If you're scoring in that range I think you will do really really well on the true test. Have fun!
