Hello, my name is Jennifer and I am interested in applying to rio hondo for spring 2018 and so I was wondering if anyone else might be applying there as well? I am planning on taking the TEAS exam really soon and hopefully we can help each other and answer any questions that each one of us might have and we could answer them on this page.
My cum gpa is 3.1
Science is 3.6
Teas 74%
No volunteer hours or anything like that though. I've basically applied to all laccd schools plus Pasadena and Rio Hondo for spring 2018.
First time applying to any program. My science clases will be going expiring soon ( ~ 1year) so I'm hoping to get lucky and get accepted for spring 2018 to any school really.
I'm glad I could help :) You'll definitely get in with your stats Joanna. Araceli, from what you wrote I also would expect you to get in. Additional documents would like financial need or a language would put you in a good spot. I personally think there are a good amount of people that apply although not necessarily with the best stats. That is what I've gathered from reading the forums.
I would submit a copy of one of your pay checks or pay stubs worked while you were completeting your pre-reqs. It should also be accompanied by a letter explaining that you were working while completing the pre-reqs for a general or specific financial need. Here is a link describing what should accompany specific documents.
Hello everyone, i had another question to ask you guys. Have any of you applied to the school itself to obtain your student id number to include it in the application? If so, what term did you select when applying because all i see is fall and what if i am still attending my current college in the fall? Thanks in advance :)
Yes, I applied for this Fall about three months ago. If we don't take classes for two consecutive terms at Rio Hondo we will have to re-apply which is just that one paged document but wouldn't affect our status as applicants. It's completely fine that you're taking courses elsewhere. I'm not sure I understand, did you take the TEAS somewhere else because I remember you needed an ID to register for the exam?
Oh I see. Yeah there definitely shouldn't be an issue with applying and the good thing is that Rio Hondo is fast at processing the applications. You should have your ID within the same day you apply! As an extra step, you will have to submit your TEAS to Rio Hondo through the Elselvier account you made, I believe it's around 15 dollars.
