Hello I haven’t seen a forum open for this yet! So I’m an Lvn just applied to Rio Hondo’s Lvn to RN bridge program. I received a confirmation email saying they received my application but I don’t feel too confident because of my overall GPA and TEAS score but I have 7 years Lvn experience. My stats are:
associates degree in allied health
3.0 science GPA (all B’s)
2.7 cumulative due to me being irresponsible in my 20’s -_- I had a lot of C’s in the general education. Retook most
66% TEAS
Work experience: 7 years Lvn
bilingual in Spanish and English
need to work
first generation college student
proof of low income
im hoping the life experiences will boost my chances but I’ve heard that they really value work experience. Fingers crossed. What are your stats and let’s get through this waiting period!
I am really hoping to be accepted, but I can always try again next year. I am still waiting on PCC and LAVC. Allied school of nursing canceled their LVN to RN application period in November, but re-opening next year.
I mean we can always wait to get apply again, but its just so ridiculous to fight against each other for something that all of us deserved, and I know lots of people who get the spot ends up dropping since high GPA doesnt always mean anything ( I don't target anybody heheh). Overall it just sucks!
I called again, they still have not sent out this morning, but they said definitely some time today.

LOL! yes, I am having anxiety hehehe. I asked if it was specifically for the lvn-RN, she said yes =). I' will still call tomorrow if I don't see anything, never know....
Ahhh girly try to relax! I have faith if not this school we will get into another school! I also apply to PCc as well so! Good luck to all of us!! Please update if you guys get in!
Nothing yet, but it seems like the ones who applied for the LVN program are getting both acceptance and denial emails, so I hope they send us either emails either way.
