Hello I haven’t seen a forum open for this yet! So I’m an Lvn just applied to Rio Hondo’s Lvn to RN bridge program. I received a confirmation email saying they received my application but I don’t feel too confident because of my overall GPA and TEAS score but I have 7 years Lvn experience. My stats are:
associates degree in allied health
3.0 science GPA (all B’s)
2.7 cumulative due to me being irresponsible in my 20’s -_- I had a lot of C’s in the general education. Retook most
66% TEAS
Work experience: 7 years Lvn
bilingual in Spanish and English
need to work
first generation college student
proof of low income
im hoping the life experiences will boost my chances but I’ve heard that they really value work experience. Fingers crossed. What are your stats and let’s get through this waiting period!

OHH, sooo the selection process isn't done yet?? How do you know? They emailed you? THank you so much for being the "middle man" lolll,

No worries ? LOL, I called them just now, I repeated it a few time to her "L V N to R N" so she finally explained. So I guess the LVN program is getting emails and regular ADN program, next is us ?

Yes all this thinking is giving me a headache too LOL. I could not enjoy my apple spice filled dunkin donut hehehe.

First off thank you for being the mediator in all of this haha we all appreciate it ?
Second, that makes no sense at all. They’re not done with selection, and mandatory orientation is this Friday? Seems quite inconsiderate, especially for those of us who have prior commitments like work or school ?
I have a full time job, and I work this Friday. If I do get in, I don’t know if I can make it to the class. I probably won’t be able to request off with such short notice ?

or is it the whole day?
Its the whole day from 8 to 4 if you don't have fire training yet, if you do its just from 12 to 4pm!

They told me 4-6 weeks after the last of application period, so 10/22 it ended, I am assuming end of November. I have been working in home health, been with this company for 15 years but working as a LVN for 5 years doing home visits intermittently (wound care, injections, etc...), but working in the office coordinating patient care as well.
