Rio Hondo College Spring 2019

Published

I couldn't find any threads for the Rio Hondo Spring 2019 (due 8/27~10/1) cohort, so I'm starting a new thread here. It's my first time applying and not sure how good my chances are. Would love to hear from everyone who also applied! I'm told the selection process begins in October, and they will let us know by November since the first advisement meeting is scheduled for November 9th.

Just opened the letter! I got accepted!

Congratulations! Are you starting the ADN program or the LVN to RN Bridge in Spring 2019?

I will be starting the ADN program!

@instax

Congrats, that's wonderful! Very happy and excited for you =)

When I called RIO earlier today, the lady from the office just kept saying "November". She made it sound like they hadn't sent out the letters yet. Now I'm feeling so anxious.

Thank You! Don't worry, your stats are better than mine so I'm pretty sure you got in too!

Congrats instax! I have informed delivery and I see a letter from Rio. It was postmarked on 10/29/18

Thanks instax!

I actually got my acceptance letter today!!

Congrats PinkC! Excited to start the program with you guys!

YAY! Congrats! I'm actually still waiting to hear back from other ADN programs that are a bit closer to where I live. I was wondering if you know if we have to pay the uniform fee upfront during the advisement meeting or if we could hold off on that until later?

Which other programs are you trying for?

I'm not sure if you'd be able to hold off on the uniform fee, since the letter sounds like we will be doing uniform fitting the latter half of the day. I'd imagine they do this so that they know you are serious about choosing their program. Otherwise, the spot will be given to next eligible applicant.

You could call and ask. =)

I'm still actually waiting on a couple of ADN programs!

Saddleback, Santa Ana, Cypress, and Cerritos

Good luck! I hope you get into the school you want the most!
