I haven't seen a thread yet for the Fall 2024 Rio Hondo ADN applicants so I wanted to make it for anyone else who is applying/ has questions.
- I was wondering to anyone who applied before and maybe got waitlisted or denied, where do they send the acceptance/waitlist/rejection email... Should we be receiving it in our regular emails or school emails? I'm not sure how to access my school email because it won't allow me since I've never applied to the school nor do I currently take any classes. Also do they give out rejection emails? I've applied to schools that have not and it sucks, but I literally just found out through these threads that I didn't get accepted.

I just got an email saying I'm selected to be an alternate. They want me to do background checks, drug test, physical exam, etc. Do you know how likely I'll officially get accepted into the program?

I'd also like to know. I did email them, hopefully I can get an reply soon because I think we need the class CRNs just to register for it. If I were to assume though those classes would start around Jun.3

I don't know how likely. But I was accepted as an alternate as well and then about a week later I was officially accepted. I think it all depends if people drop or choose another program. Hopefully this helped.

Thank you so much for your reply! I really hope I could get in because I paid for castlebranch already LOL

Yes we need the CRN and I think they want us to take 2 classes in Summer before fall semester

I called the health sciences department a few days ago and they confirmed that there is no Summer school this year, we just start in August. It's odd that it's on the website still

Oh okay that doesn't sound super bad! Sorry, I have one more question; I know it differs from year to year but do you remember there being any mandatory meetings for RHC prior to the start of the semester from when you first started the program? I tried to call and ask about mandatory meetings, but they don't have a definitive answer either and the only dates I know of are the Keys to Success event and the Castlebranch deadlines..

Oh I didn't know they have a Keys to Success event.... Is it because I'm an alternate?

I'm also going to be a Fall 2024 student! Any way we can connect somewhere to create a community for those who decided on RH's program?

They most likely sent out the email to students that have been accepted so far but I would attend in case you do get accepted. It's June 18th @8am

Congrats! But same, I wasn't sure if anyone else wanted to make a groupchat or something for our cohort. If anyone does, I'd be up for it; I know only fb groups are allowed on here, but I don't use fb unfortunately ^^;

Oh the school didn't even tell about this event... I guess they don't want alternates to attend?!
