I haven't seen a thread yet for the Fall 2024 Rio Hondo ADN applicants so I wanted to make it for anyone else who is applying/ has questions.
- I was wondering to anyone who applied before and maybe got waitlisted or denied, where do they send the acceptance/waitlist/rejection email... Should we be receiving it in our regular emails or school emails? I'm not sure how to access my school email because it won't allow me since I've never applied to the school nor do I currently take any classes. Also do they give out rejection emails? I've applied to schools that have not and it sucks, but I literally just found out through these threads that I didn't get accepted.
I received an email as well but it was a rejection for not submitting my ATI score supposedly.. when my ATI says I did send it to Rio Hondo, so I called the number associated with the sender of the email and they said they'll re-evaluate my application. Did this happen to anyone else?

My denial didn't say I didn't get in because I didn't submit certain documents it said " we received over 400 applicant for fall 2024 start. The score for your application did not place you in the top 50 of these applications. Should the position of your application change , we will notify you via email " that what it said. Then a few min later I received the "recall of the email from the same person.

I see, thanks for letting me know! I haven't received an update email since I called them, but I would not be surprised if they also tell me the same thing as they told you. I find it strange that they did not just select people as alternates and just flat out rejected others, then sent out a recall email..

My denial was exactly like yours along with " recall " email.

Yea I mean there can be so many reasons why they would recall an email but tryna stay positive here 🥲 yea I don't see no alternatives ... let's just see
Did you just guys get a denial today? I got mine on April 30. But mine is because I didn't turn in my TEAS I didn't even think about it because citrus and Mt sac usually ask for it after the acceptance/ alterate email so I was so sad. But that's weird that you're just being emailed now.

Yep I got mine today, it's rough because every program wants things in a different order ;_; Good luck with any other programs you applied to!
I have no idea if they require a Summer session. I have read every single document that they have sent me in the email and found no information about this.
On rio hondo website search sample ADN education plan, there are class ADN 151 clinical nursing concept and AND 151 Lab during Summer session.
Also on the ADN Application information page, under the 2nd step it says:
"AFTER APPLYING:
REQUIRED – by permission from the Health Science and Nursing Division only. Students who are accepted to the program will be admitted to ADN151 and ADN 151L. Successful completion of this course is a prerequisite for admission to the Associate Degree Nursing Program 1stsemester.”
Btw, do u know when the orientation will be? I only saw dead line for the physical forms and background check.

No fr, I wish it was like all the same for every school, it'd be so much easier. And classes too IDK why schools want diff classes and don't just make us all learn the same stuff if we have the same end goal and take the same NCLEX its weird. but thank you and good luck to you as well!
I received a denial letter too but just received another email saying my message was recalled. I wonder if that's a good thing. 🙏🏼 did anyone get a recall message?
So I emailed them about the recall letter and we are not selected. So on to the next school.. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I got an update on my end and was selected as an alternate, I just find it really strange they rejected me initially because they did not see my TEAS score T_T
