Rio Hondo ADN Summer 2021

Hi y’all, I just notice Rio Hondo posted their application deadline on their website. I was wondering if anyone is also applying?

This is going to be my second time applying.

U think Rio sends more emails today or yesterday was all or nothing. Just wondering but not holding breath

I'm not sure...I got a phone call today asking if I received my email. It's weird that they aren't asking us to accept our seats or anything. Maybe if you email Rox and ask?

I’ll maybe email RN before the office closes. And huh that’s is weird they didn’t ask

Is her email the one that send us the confirmation letter or a different one?

Yes will do. Just emailed right now so we shall see if she responds before closing office today. I applied to ELAC a while ago even tho they low NCLEX as of RN but it’s due to the past students not prepared for program. This year they are strict with who they let in so hoping it give me something

That’s okay. Spring is less impacted than fall application period so let’s just hope

Okay so she responded with this 

 

“Acceptance letters have been sent.  Students who were not selected will receive an emailed notification by May.”

 

so safe to say those with no emails yesterday, are denied

If Rio Hondo has a similar Multi-Criteria Screening as Mt Sac(total 100 points), people without healthcare experience(experience in healthcare- Maximum Points = 28 ) or without a degree(Academic Degrees, diplomas or relevant certificates – Maximum Points = 20)  are hard to get in.

Yeah. Imma get my AA this semester so imma get points there and get in my CNA cert by this Summer and working. So hoping I get everything there

I knew I wasn’t getting in because of an out of state class issue that I got screwed up on. So I had to retake physiology currently and re applying in September but since I have all my pre reqs for BSN I’m also going to apply to cal states and any accelerated nursing programs for a bachelors degree. Everything happens for a reason and just know it’s on Gods time not our time. So it’s OK just keep pushing and congratulations to everyone that got in ❤️
