Rio Hondo ADN Summer 2021

Hi y’all, I just notice Rio Hondo posted their application deadline on their website. I was wondering if anyone is also applying?

This is going to be my second time applying.

I am still waiting to hear back from other programs because this school is my last choice since I live in San Diego. SO hopefully, I will be able to give up my spot!

I didn't get any emails from Rio Hondo yet, but my stats are as follows:

  • Science GPA: 4.0
  • Cumulative GPA: 3.8 
  • TEAS: 88 (First Try)
  • 3 AA degrees (not sure if they give points to this category but yeah)
  • No volunteer/healthcare experience (probably the reason why I didn't get an email)
  • 3 Life experiences

That's so sad, My science GPA: 4.0, Cumulative GPA: 3.93, TEAS is not so good 77.3% only,  BS degree, second language, no healthcare experiences, one life experience. I didn't get anything either.

I am searching for a CNA program now, maybe I will work as a CNA for a year and retake the TEAS.

Well, at least we tried applying! We could always try applying again. THAT or  we get accepted to other nursing programs ❤️

You guys have AMAZING stats. 
Definitely look into getting some work experience under your belt to add to your applications! CNA, hospital transport/orderly, ekg monitor tech, etc etc. 

You’ll blow all the other applicants out of the water with stats like those!
