hey! I'm not sure if you saw my previous post on this thread, but I'm glad that you caught the bad vibe from rio. I'm a current student there and I'm not having a good time due to bullying and hostile classroom environments. BUT to answer your question, the clinicals at rio are amazing and I've learned so much from the clinical instructors. the full time faculty, not so much

hey guys! I'm in rio hondo's ADN program and don't worry about not making it into the program. I really would not recommend coming here b/c a lot of the instructors are more involved with the power trip against students vs being nurturing towards students. I'd say you guys dodged a bullet cause I don't think the bullying that we've experienced here is worth it. also a lot of my cohort members are second degree students who are 30+ years old so I think they're prioritizing applicants in this age group. but if you're set on going to rio, just put your head down and pass! you got this ?

I'm watching the brn meeting + discussion and ooooooooooooof. it definitely sucks for us as students and I can also see how it can get worse if we enter the program and they're not able to support us. so we're in a lose-lose situation where there's a pause in admission but also if there's admission, the quality of education may not be there

How are you guys planning on funding the ABSN if you get in? The tuition itself is $45k. I’m already anticipating loans but what types of loans are you guys thinking of and what kinds of interests are you willing to pay?

For fall! Elac used to be on a waitlist system but they changed it for this application cycle

I don't think anyone works over the weekend! hopefully we'll find out this week or the week after that
