Rio Hondo ADN Program Spring 2022

Hi everyone! I am making this forum because I see that it hasn't been done yet. feel free to post anything related to the nursing program process

No bachelor's or associates degree, however, I do have EMT certification

Science GPA: 4.0

All science pre reqs are w/in 7 yrs

I have my gen ED and eng 101 completed, I have a 3.96 overall GPA

If they accept it, 3 life experiences

Bilangual

1000+ hours of EMT

78% on TEAS

- Science GPA: 4.0

- Overall GPA: 3.53

- TEAS: 74.7%  ?

- AA degree

- Phlebotomy License/ CPT1

- 231 hours of volunteer

- 3 life experiences

You guys what did you do about schools on the application? I feel my application is going to be tossed  cause I only put one school out of 8 I attended??? There was space only for one.. what did you guys do?

I think as long as you sent all the transcripts from the 8 schools you attended, it should be fine? Perhaps contact them to explain your situation

In the nursing info session they mentioned to list all of them on different printed sheets or just to attach a separate paper and list it there. Hopefully it’ll be OK ? or call nursing dept and mentioned you sent all the transcript?

I appreciate that! It's hard to say for RHC though. I saw Summer/fall 2021 application cycle thread for RHC and someone mentioned over 300 applicants applied. I wouldn't be surprised if all 30 students had everything + a 4.0 science GPA. COVID made all the ADN programs extremely impacted.

Why is that? Is it because Mt Sac is a bigger school? Or is there another reason?

I'd imagine that it is the e-mail you wrote/typed on your application. You can call the Health Science and Nursing Department to see if they received your application Mon-Thurs.
